Quest Replays

So I kinda goofed typing something in a quest just now and can't go back and change it. If you know your quests, you know which one.

The Strong Survive. I didn't realize "cursed" was an option, otherwise I'd have def done that one...

Which gave me an idea. For quests with strong replay value, or quests with secret difficulty modifiers, why not allow later Replays of that quest?

Make an NPC with dialogue about taking the quest again, with a note that doing so will remove the quest completion on your character until you finish the quest again.

This way, if you want to go back and do a quest a harder way eg The Strong Survive, or want to replay a popular quest for fun eg Order of the Grook, you could without spinning up a whole new character to grind it out.

I can't say every quest should have this, but there are a few I could see some value to this.

 

I think it should really just be certain parts that are replayable, similar to how the Fruma bosses are refightable even after you’ve beaten them
That would also avoid the issue of having to prevent the player from XP farming from quests

 

Current quest system makes it very hard to do something like this without endlessly giving you rewards

 

Yeah, probably the biggest challenge there. I'm not sure what Wynn has codewise behind the scenes, so I'm afraid I can't answer that challenge.

I *think* it's doable, but maybe not easily.
