Quest The Canyon Guides Breaks if You Have Too Much Jump Height

I'm honestly not sure where to put this since it isn't technically a bug, but uh. Title.

I tried doing The Canyon Guides on my shaman because I wanted someone to tend my wyverns and shaman drew the short straw. The problem is that I was using a meme jump height build (don't judge me) and so whenever I jumped, it stated that I had ventured too far from Seluc and he returned to his campsite.

I'm aware that this is a rather niche issue, to put it mildly, but it would be lovely if they made some changes to how this works (or just removed it entirely).

 

... In the five times I've played the quest since the rework, never once have I got that message. Just how high were you going?

Ah Seluc, the Worst NPC east of Pirates' Cove. Definitely top three for worst NPCs. At least you get to punch him off a cliff!

 

The build I was using (with a few modifications) is actually on the cursed builds thread somewhere.

 

What is your Jump Height score.

 

Like 30ish.

 

Have you considered having less Jump Height score.

 

But then I couldn't jump as high.
