It's awkward to reach for the shift key for special attacks in CtH. One hand sits on my mouse and the other on WASD; neither is convenient for shift. Shift is also very important to playing CtH.

A solution to make the game much cleaner ergonomically would be to simply make the specials right-click. Currently, right-click acts as left-click but it repeats your attack rather than only doing it once. You can move this functionality to left-click. Alternatively, you could make specials middle-click.

Are the buttons bound to the specific input, or just whatever you have Use/Place Block and Sneak bound as?

Given a discussion on the Discord, it seems that the effect is bound to Sneak so it is possible to rebind it. I recall doing something similar for parkouring in the Outer Void, for similar reasons.

The Discord discussion turned up the following points:
    • 'Just rebind the key'
    • If you made right-click into special attack, it might interfere with NPCs (but right-click is already an attack and doesn't interfere with the shops)
    • The sneak thing is only really a problem because CtH's combat is extremely fast-paced, and when you need to sneak attack, it's disruptive.
I'll admit that my main issue is probably because I main Anagnorisis, which is the only of the four weapons with an active speed buff. Hamartia has a passive speed buff when you're vanished, and Catharsis and the bow don't have any speed buffs at all; only the spear would result in you constantly switching from sprint to sneak.
