Wynncraft translated to Portuguese!!

Hii!
I've been playing since 2020, and I've introduced a lot of my brazilians friends to the game, but not all of them know how to read in english, specially speak!
I'm volunteering to translate the server since I'm fluent in english and could easily translate it!

 

I always encourage Wynncraft to broaden its horizons in any way it can but there is a few problems:
Now, I can't in any way speak for the actual Wynncraft team but I have been here since 2015 and I can say that if you're making this kind of offer for Wynncraft then you should know that such a job isn't something to offer lightly.
Wynncraft generally speaking doesn't like to cut corners or half-ass its features, or at least not the newest ones so you'd have to (possibly single-handedly) translate every single line of text in the entire game be it from the countless amount of quests, items, discoveries, everything and not only that, but also be an active translator (and therefore a staff member) because the concept of translating the game wouldn't have any real value if it couldn't continuously be translated alongside the updates that get released because otherwise there would be inconsistencies between what is in English and what is in Portuguese.
I'm not saying you shouldn't do this, I'm just saying that you should know what you're getting into before making that offer.

I was actually just reading your post as I saw this notification lol

 

It's been already I think 2 or 3 years that I've been trying to contact someone to start this, I know it's something big. But I've brought a lot of my friends to play with me, but eventually they stop playing because of the language barrier, it would mean a lot to me to bring the server to Portuguese, I work as a Python developer during the weekdays, but in any schedule opening I would work as the translator. It would probably take maybe half a year to be done all alone. But as a Brazilian I can say for sure, this would bring a lot of new players, incomings, budget, fans, streamers.
I can say that I'm going to be committed with the plan!
I'm not asking money in return, I'm just a fan trying to play with my friends ;)

To the other guy's point, I think you're going to have to get hired as a staff member of the server. They may not have confidence in getting this much help from someone who technically can do whatever, whenever they care to do it (not saying you don't seem dedicated, you do). Creating a version in another language would be a matter of upkeep and if you don't want to do this someday then they need to find another English+Portuguese speaker to employ for very few hours when there's not a big content update, and for very many hours when there is a big content update. Push that you can code and apply for a role with coding and if they like you, then push to become lead for translating to Portuguese.
