Game Mechanics Grand Scroll

A new item that can be very rarely found in loot chests, similarly to emerald pouches, starting at around level 40. Initially it has no usage, saying that it needs to be inscribed.

Scroll Merchants now sell matching inscriptions, which, while much steeper in price, allows you to add a new location to your grand scroll. It can fit a total of five inscriptions, and they can be removed at no cost, but will be destroyed.

Grand Scrolls have the same charge limitations as standard scrolls.

If the player has more than one grand scroll in their inventory, it has a high likelihood to misfire, similar to gathering tools, where it will instead teleport the player a few blocks in a random direction, while still expending the charge.

 

I'm not sure I see the benefit these would have over single scrolls. theyre more compact, but you don't usually need more than 1-2 scrolls anyway

 

I swear there's a 'TP Scrolls In One Slot plsplsplsplspls' suggestion like. Every week. At least 1.

You technically really just need 4 scrolls for all locations. Lutho (because no fast travel), Corkus (Ocean travel web), Detlas (Wynn/ Cinfras & Juggler) and maybe a scroll for a city you frequent but isn't in a travel web like Olux

 

I use just three

Detlas (access to Cinfras, Aldorei, Ahmsord, Rodoroc, Alekin, and Ragni)
Kandon Beda (access to TCC and Corkus)
Lutho (access to SE)

 

this is fine for allmost all content but if you like World events is really hard since distances in between is large enough to miss WE and how does fast travels works

 

No selchar scroll is criminal

 

I just wish that scroll merchants sold lower level town scrolls again. It felt like an unnecessary change that was done for the sake of inconvenience and doesn’t mimic how scrolls were like with soul points anyway.

 

Who's going to Selchar with any regularity? Realistically, I pretty much exclusively use Detlas scrolls, because basically anywhere is easily accessible from Detlas.

Takes like five seconds to go to nemract from Detlas, and then you can use the Nexus to go to llevigar

Im playing shaman, so more like 2 minutes, and why shouldnt I have a nemract scroll if I want one? also its close to the bovemist church and I attend prayers weekly

 

i only use scrolls when my current build is low mana/low walk speed (i guess i don't feel the need to skip all the necessary locations to get from a to b (i consider the trip from cinfras to olux short))

i also don't mind going to a town to get my scrolls and tp somewhere, so i usually keep none on me.
