Game Mechanics Item Suggestion: Master Teleport Scroll.

The master teleport scroll acts similarly to the pouches, in that it holds items. The difference, is that left clicking opens the menu where the player can put teleport scrolls, and right clicking allows the player to select one to use from a menu. This would allow for inventories to be less cluttered resulting in far better quality of life.

I looked explicitly for other "master teleport scroll" ideas via searching "scroll" both through tags and keywords and the only other results I found are the one BabaFisi made, and the one I made but that thread is locked and therefore not open for discussion.

This does bring up a few other questions though: Firstly, while OP's post here is very similar to BabaFisi's thus making this particular complaint valid, BabaFisi's and mine for example are vastly different in design even if they both have the basic premise of storing Teleport Scrolls so they really should be treated separately and not with the mentality of "there can only be one". And second, why are suggestion threads even locked in the first place, completely preventing any further discussion for those ideas? I mean, I could understand if it were like a 5-year old thread, but locking a thread only months after it is made only is incredibly silly.

 

This is how all threads work. They're automatically locked after a certain amount of time of inactivity

 

Yes but it's detrimental to the discussion because there are times where a certain discussion can be brought to relevance once more, either through a new update, a rediscovery of the topic, or otherwise controversy and having them locked just defeats the purpose and destroys any chance of a long-term discussion. It really should be disabled or at least changed to lock after a year of inactivity rather than a few months.
