Game Mechanics Bloodbath Base DPS Should be Buffed

    I want to first start by saying that I don't think that Bloodbath's damage potential is in any way subpar. It does almost the best damage you could get from the full fallen playstyle. However, I think the fact that it is out-dps'd in it's own playstyle by 2 other mythics that are far less valuable goes against the intention of Bloodbath's design. Let me elaborate:
    • Alkatraz and Thrundacrack both have a higher base DPS than Bloodbath after powdering.
    Bloodbath (E6 E6 T6) = 661 avg DPS
    Alkatraz = 681 avg DPS
    Thrundacrack (T6 T6 T6 T6) = 735 DPS
    • Replacing Bloodbath with Alkatraz in virtually any Bloodbath-centered build results in higher damage output and EHP
    • Bloodbath is an Annihilation mythic. A mythic that is much rarer to obtain than Thrunda or Alka should not do less or even the same damage as these 2.
    • Bloodbath gives a noticeable health debuff, for virtually no payout. Thrunda and Alka both give no debuffs, other than Thrunda's negative hpr% ID, yet do more damage.
    To elaborate on that point, look at Cataclysm. It also gives a noticeable health debuff (Though admittedly more than Bloodbath), and it's reward is to have the highest base DPS of any assassin weapon. Shouldn't Bloodbath get similar treatment?
    • Bloodbath is worth substantially more on the Trade Market than Alka and Thrunda. As of writing this, the cheapest unidentified Bloodbath on TM is 9 stx, whereas the cheapest unidentified Alka and Thrunda are 1.5 stx. This BBath price is also substantially lower than all other Annie mythics, even Hanafubuki, almost as if that's a sign... Who would want to pay 6x more for a mythic that does only roughly the same damage?
    • Bloodbath's +30 strength and +30 dexterity do not come anywhere close to making up for it's lack of base DPS. Look at virtually any build with the 3 mythics and you will see Alka and Thrunda both have higher damage uppercuts (The main source of damage with the full fallen playstyle). In fact, you can replace BBath with Alka in virtually any build, and Alka will give higher damage and EHP stats!
    • Bloodbath is designed to be the full fallen mythic. It has high negative mana regen, and all Annie mythics are meant to focus on a specific archetype (Labyrinth = trapper, Hanafubuki = acrobat, etc.). To me, this means it should do noticeably more damage than any other mythic in a full fallen build, not merely roughly the same damage. Hanafubuki also has the same issue, but this thread isn't about Hana, so I won't get into that.
    To clarify, I don't think it's healthy for the item system to have certain items be completely objectively better than others. However, the issue is that Bloodbath has many more downsides than Alka and Thrunda (Substantial health debuff, much rarer, much more expensive, substantial negative mana regen), so it shouldn't also do less damage. Even if you argue that health debuffs and negative mana regen are negligible for fallen, it still leaves the fact that Bloodbath is way more difficult to obtain, so why would anyone bother? (Hint: Most don't).

    So, my final conclusion is: The base DPS of Bloodbath should be raised by at least 100, so that it is higher than Alkatraz and barely Thrundacrack. To me, this is a fair reward for the many downsides that Bloodbath has compared to these 2.

    TLDR: Bloodbath is much more expensive and rare than Alkatraz and Thrundacrack. It also gives a very noticeable health debuff. It's also an Annie mythic which centers around one specific playstyle. Despite all of this, it typically does only as much or less damage than Alka and Thrunda in its own playstyle. Therefore, its base DPS should be buffed to be at least slightly higher than Thrundacrack to make up for its downsides.

    Yes, but that doesn't make -hp a buff. The advantage of more -hp with bloodbath is that you can build corrupted slightly faster when getting hit by enemies. However, the main way to build corrupted is just by casting spells with bpact, the speed of which doesn't change with HP (since bpact is on health% not raw health). -hp makes bbath more glassy and the advantage of building corrupted slightly faster if you get hit by enemies doesn't outweigh the advantage of being less glassy.
