World Remove the need to be in a Party for others to join World Events

Discussion in 'General Suggestions' started by BabaFisi, Aug 12, 2024.

?

Do you think a party should be necessary for World Events?

  1. No, it'd make for a more fun community thing to have more people.

  2. Yes, it'd be too overpowered to have more people.

There's really no reason this should be a thing. Everytime I try to say "Hey, can someone /party me?" people just either don't respond or leave the server :(

Sure, it could make the World Events really easy, but isn't the point of World Events just to be in the community? Like, it'd make more sense to have everyone participate, instead of you having to do the annoying process of asking to be invited to a party MOMENTS before the event starts, or just being alone.

I've done World Events, so far, in 1 and 2 player parties (ie solo or with someone else), and have thus far died 100% of the time at-level.

Honestly, I'd say do some scaling work so that the World Event will work with every person in your world, at the event.

would be very bad for stuff like annihilation. annihilation can be attempted at level 30 minimum, but if a level 30 joins a party with a level 100, the boss will be scaled for level 100. level 30s just trying to play the boss on their own would likely end up in an automated group with a bunch of level 100s and get obliterated. this can even happen with emerald trail world events given a level 100 plays them.

we're trying to make parties a bit more of a relevant feature for group content. hopefully in the future most players will understand that they should create a party to play in a group for content like this, and this won't be as much of an issue

If low level players are being annihlated (haha), then shouldn't there be, like, some sort of special buffs they get depending on their level, scaling depending on what level they are, thus making it so they're balanced with the level 100 players? It seems sorta unfair to let them be able to go into it, just for them to die immediately because level 100 players will ABSOLUTELY be there.
