Dungeons Buffing dungeon rain's using the dungeon merchant.

    So as we all know how dungeon rain's don't have the best reputation and only some dungeons having unique loot (seriously why is it so rare for some of the loot)

    But I have a proposal to buff dungeon rain's as well as making dungeon's SLIGHTLY less grindy. We all know the dungeon merchant. My suggestion is when you complete a dungeon there should either be a chance of getting a random item from the dungeon merchant in the dungeon rain, or it should be an outright guarantee per run but it'd be completely random still on which item you get. E.g You complete sand swept dungeon you might get hashr's claw on your first run just from the dungeon rain.

    If multiple players run the dungeon (I don't know if this is possible) but it would lock each dungeon item to each specific player. I.e if 3 people complete a dungeon there would be 3 different dungeon items dropping but it'd be one for each player and they can't pick another player's dungeon item up.

    You would still be able to buy the items from the dungeon merchant I am just suggesting an alternative that means the grind has a chance to not be as painful.

    This entire suggestion came from me doing a 1 completion per dungeon playthrough but I also thought "least it'd make everyone's life better"

    Well, the issue is what if you do not play that class? The whole point of dungeon items is they are untradeable, which means that you have to DO the dungeon, unlike most content where the people who do it just sell to everyone (profs and lootrunning), but I am pretty sure in Wynncraft any untradeable weapon (quest rewards, dungeon rewards, other), you ALWAYS get to choose, which means usually giving you unique currency (calamaro's slimy token, dungeon drops, bigfoot bone thingy), and then let you BUY the weapon for your class. Sometimes the added benefit is that there are multiple weapons for each class to buy, but in Underice for instance, the reward for giving the pufferfish to Calamaro is ALWAYS the same, the Calamoros Slimy [weapon], but because the quest doesn't know what class you play, it gives you a chance for all of them! (Weirdly, the tutorial DOES know, but whatever).

    All of this is to say, if it gives you, say, a Hashrs claw, but you play shaman, there is LITERALLY nothing you can do with it. You cannot sell it, because they made it untradeable, and you cannot use it, because you are a shaman, and Levelling an assassin would take longer than buying it anyway, so it is entirely useless.

    Same could be said for random mob drop loot. Just blacksmith it. Or store it for your other classes.
    You would still be able to choose though? This isn't getting rid of dungeon merchants just giving an alternative. And you still have to beat the dungeon in the first place to get dungeon rain.
    You can still grind tokens for the dungeon to get a guarantee, or you might get it randomly on your first ever completion.
    Still will. You will get the currency still, you'll just get a random dungeon item along with it.
    Again same can be said for random loot. Also blacksmith accepts untradeable loot, so just go there.

    Unless you get hashr claw on your first run or you store the tokens for later usage?
    I genuinely don't get the issue with the suggestion. It's bad because it's random?

    But you cannot sell it on the trade market, and you have no use for it. Why not have it drop some other cool items, that can be used on every class, like t3 ingeredients, and some cool potions? The point of dungeon weapons is that you can choose the best for your class

    Blacksmith it. If i get items I can't use for my class from random drops it's what I do anyway. Or Store them if they're good.
    Because my idea is for the ridiculous grind for dungeon items to have a chance of getting avoided. Dungeon rain's are seen as weak due to how unrewarding they are, why not have a chance for that 6 token item to be given on your first run through the rain?
    Still would be able to. You just have a chance to shortcut it. I'm not saying make it completely random to get dungeon items. Just while you're griding for an item from the dungeon merchant you have a chance to get it from the rain rewards as well.

    These are some interesting points. I do think however, that if it is set up to be a grind, then having an ENTIRELY RANDOM chance to skip it is bad. This is kind of what seperates Wynncraft grinding from HSB grinding. For almost all grinds in hypixel skyblock, You only need one item, and it has a one in a thousand chance to drop. You can get it on the first try, but you probably wont, so you do the dungeon a thousand times and get it. (I understant this is also how mythics work but I am talking about dungeon items.) In wyncraft, that same grind would be that the item costs a thousand drops, which drop 100% of the time. That way, everyone gets it at the same pace and luck isnt a part of it. It seems deeply unrewarding to have a chance to just get the wrong item, and sell it for 16 emeralds, or get the perfect item and save an hour. This is why i think different items. Maybe a chance to drop double drops could make it more exciting, or an untradeable item that temporarily increases xp and rewards from that specific dungeon, to reward redoing it.

    No one's gonna grind the early dungeons that much for the items is the issue. Dungeons only get grinded if.
    A. it's a forgery dungeon.
    B. They're doing it for exp which is 3 times max.
    However, most people do dungeons 3 times max outside of forgery. You're literally just storing the tokens you get. This will give an opportunity to get some of the items on your first playthrough. It's not unrewarding to get something on your first run, it'd actually be better. Right now it's more like "oh finally i got the reward that took me 6 completed runs" Especially in cases like ice barrows where you are not gonna get the dungeon items on your first playthrough outside of the cheaper ones.

    This kind of makes sense, but it is not necessary and is not the best way of fixing the dungeon items problem

    It’s true though it won’t really work with the actual dungeon items that would defeat the point

    Well, I think it should be some fun unique drops, like something similar to a dungeon bomb, or maybe even a small chance to drop a dungeon key!

    Well, i thought it would be stupid to add entirely new items, just for this one small chance. It should not be gear as that is redundant. Maybe some t3 ingredients that are related, like Slime for UR

    They don't? I feel like every other day someone gets a mythic from dungeon rain.
    ridiculous grind? the only dungeon I can think of that has useful items behind more than 1 hour of completions is FF.
    People already do dungeons more times than that for various reasons, including dungeon merchant weapons, armour, and accessories, daily and guild objectives, higher tiered dungeon horses and tools, etc.

    Dungeon rain isn't per person, that is why I said that shop items, being Untradable, wouldn't work
