Game Mechanics Something some of you were probably looking for

Mini-mini-suggestion, expect a severe lack of words compared to my other suggestions. I'll let the gifs do the talking.

Requirements:
1. Be in a town
2. Perform no action for at least 30 seconds


Exiting the cage (Cage also dissipates if you perform any other significant action)


Animation

(First person view has two particles occasionally flying past the screen, not that keeping
the screen unobscured is an important thing to get rid of in this context anyway.)

It's more suited for newer players, who as we all know damn well have a 99.8% chance of discovering that both /class exists and the fact that mobs can enter cities way too late into their playthrough

 

for one, i was trying to get some wynncraft music to listen to, and my dumb brain thought the best thing was to go afk in one of the ice nations. I came back having died 12 times and lost everything lol

Was trying to do some fancy cage thing but ended up with really weird vague trails

Some spots in loot caves are inside town zones, which would make a mechanic like this pretty exploitable.

Then simply change it so they are no longer

Scarce exceptions that shouldn't have new additions made around them

Exact timing doesn't really make a difference but yeah I agree should be way longer than 10 because a time that low is prone to accidental AFK trigger

 

so one could loot chest, afk for 29 minutes, and then kill 10 mobs and loot it again?

 

Yeah, is it possible to differentiate between 10 seconds standing still while crafting or just 10 seconds standing still? If not, people crafting en masse could have a problem

That being said I altered the original requirement that states "Stay still for at least 10 seconds" to "Perform no action for at least 30 seconds"

 

YESSS with this I won't ever get spawn killed in Efilim ever again

 

to be fair thats not that much easier than /classing and checking back every 30 minutes, or even just doing the entire cave again

Can you elaborate?

 

There's this one cave in Sky Islands (I think it's Lamprophis Lair). A part of that cave (close to the chest room, and the chest room itself) is directly underneath Rodoroc. You even get a message that you're entering Rodoroc.

Idk if there are other caves with the same problem. Probably a part of CotL's Troll Burrows being inside Thesead, but idr.
