For me, lootrunning is the most fun piece of end-game content. Not needing to wait on anyone, going at your own pace and rolling for a mythic is the most constant fun I've had on this game.

    The problem
That being said, I love doing short and long lootruns and getting as many rerolls as I can get. Nothing feels worse than picking between missions that are absolutely useless for my run. I know most of the missions have a place in the game, but if you're going for a specific run, a lot of the missions are completely useless. I throw up every time I see After opening a Flying Chest, remove one of your Curses.

    My solution
Having a rewards shop where you can modify which missions show up in your run (ie what missions to exclude). It gives lootrunning more to work towards and allows players to go into the run with a better chance of having the run of their dreams.
With all that being said, there are 12 missions in total. It would be pretty crazy if you were allowed to block out 8 missions and to always see 4 missions you want. My fix would be to only allow the disabling of 2-4 missions.

    Obtaining points:
Rewards are obtained my completing a lootrun and the points could scale off the amount of pulls you get. Bonus points could be awarded after every 5th and 10th completed runs. For example, completing 10 runs awards points on both the 5th and the 10th run.

    The rewards shop:
Rewards are bought with the points you obtain. Buying the reward will allow you to disable that mission. For example, Buying the Cleansing Greed Mission gives you the opportunity to disable or enable that mission. The shop would ideally have rewards for each mission.

    Other thoughts:
I would feel bad not mentioning boons in this post, but if we're making the missions easier, I'm not sure what we should do about boons. Adding them in the reward shop might be way overpowered.

    Feedback
Let me know if you'd make any modifications or if you think this is viable or not!

Being able to remove missions from a pool makes guaranteeing super good runs very very easy

    Why?
It's a good way to quickly remove curses if you accidentally took too many early on. You still get the pulls.

Have you ever actually taken it before or are you just saying that

It would make it easier for sure. I like the thought of putting in effort to reduce some of the rng in regards to missions. Right now you once get Master, the only reason to keep doing lootruns is for mythics and money. It would be pretty nice if there was another reason to keep doing them. If you could prestige and get a slight increased chance in getting a mythic that would a reason to keep playing

It's fine if you're trying to reduce mythic rates, but how about adding a reason to continue lootrunning after you've fully leveled it. It's fun once you unlock all the beacons but what purpose am I doing lootruns other than to make money. The only reason I'm still playing is because I enjoy lootrunning, idk how much longer I'll play if it starts feeling dull

I took it earlier today to see what it's like and it felt useless

my man, she said that this change would INCREASE mythic rates.

She said "we" are reducing mythic rates. "we" being the content team. This change would go against their efforts to balance power in the game and the economy (although the economy is already broken)

    What is even happening
I know that would increase mythic rates, idk if you read my post wrong but I don't think I give the impression I thought otherwise

I'd like this thread to move towards adding more progression to lootrunning

I didn't know they were trying to fix the economy so I appreciate the new info

I've taken it before. Sure, it's not as great as other missions, but it's better than quite a few. You sound like the one here who's never taken it before.

Speaking of underwhelming missions, has anyone here taken the beacon reroll one before? I can't really see a situation where it's useful outside getting aqua stacks on the limited beacons like white or dark grey, which isn't a huge impact on the run, and doesn't provide raw scaling or value like the other mission rewards do.

I've taken it. It's useful while boonstacking and for the situation you described.

this entire mentality makes me a bit perturbed. The "I won't do [x thing in game] unless it has some reward". The "Why should I lootrun if it doesn't make me money?".
While it's fine to try to make money in a game, sure, the game's primary incentive for playing it should be the fact that the game is fun. If the only thing that keeps you playing a game is how many liquid emeralds it makes you . . . that's not a game you're playing for fun, that's a game you're playing until you hit an arbitrary checkpoint.
Why should you lootrun? Because it's fun. And if you stop finding it fun, then you don't have to lootrun anymore. The "incentive" that the game should provide for playing the game should be that the game is enjoyable, not that it gives you some imaginary cookie points.

Removing curses with flying chests + "every challenge spawns a flying chest" seems like a pretty sick combo idk why you would want to remove that.

Moreover, there is no reason to have people chose missions if they can just dictate them right off the bat, may aswell just assign tasks randomly throughout the run and give players the predetermined reward.
