Game Mechanics Give IronMan players a bank

The ironman mechanic that removes players trade + market access was a genius challenge that I was really looking forward to! Initial thoughts going into it was that I would get access to a bank that's restricted to the ironman class to block sharing items throughout accounts.

Instead, I was greeted with:



How is this supposed to be remotely possible? 10 levels in and my inventory is already struggling for space due to me also doing a hardcore crafting only account.


Keep in mind, this is before all of the quest items that must be kept are introduced. Permanently carrying out cluck cluck's feather everywhere I go turned this fun challenge into a clucking nightmare.

Please reintroduce banks to ironman and just have ironman classes have their own banks separate from their other classes.

So I just learned that as an ironman, they changed the "Ingredient pouch" into just "pouch", allowing the user to put any item in there. I wish this was made more clear and it certainly does change the whole quest item storing thing. But why not at least increase the pouch from 3 rows of slots to 6 rows? Just a double chest's worth of extra storing space. I'm still going to keep this thread up because there's got to be a better way to deal with this issue.

A lot of people are under the impression that ironman's challenge is to remove bank access. If that were the case, it would be listed in the challenge description, which is as follows;



The reason ironman has restricted bank access to begin with is to avoid players from transferring items between different classes since all classes share a bank. The suggestion I'm posting here is to just give ironman their own bank separate from all other classes to avoid this dilemma.

 

Don't play ironman then, that's the whole point of the challenge.

 

The whole point of the ironman is directly inspired by Runescape's ironman's challenge. Which is where the player is not able to trade with other players or access the market. Bank access has nothing to do with it.

Wynncraft takes note of this with their description mentioning nothing about the bank.
"You will not be able to trade with other players, including the trade market"

 

you also can't be healed/buffed by other players as ironman

 

If ironman could access the bank, they would be able to access items bought and traded on other classes, breaking the entire point of the gamemode

 

Iron man is ment to have all of their item on them, if classes get more mobile storage, then iron man would get more storage

 

I specified in my post that ironman should get a bank "separate from other classes" to avoid sharing items between classes. This avoids any way to cheat the challenge.

Ironman's challenge is not being able to trade with players. Not having bank restricted.




Restricting bank access was a quick solution to avoid trading items between classes. I'm suggesting that Wynncraft fixes this by giving ironman a bank that's separate from the other classes.

 

It still feels like iron man with out the bank, it would be way to easy with the bank. With a bank it would just take slightly longer to get items

 

tbh this the only reason i dont play ironman, the pouch simply isnt enough storage, i would love ironman and main it if i had a seperated bank from normal chars would improve the gamemode so much

 

I see ironman as a challenge of not being able to trade and gain items from others, rather than a challenge of managing an absurdly small inventory space.
