Game Mechanics Arcanist's New Ability: Arcane Annihilation

    Here is the basic idea: If the arcanist reaches 400 mana(yes you will need both Chaos Explosion and Arcane Overflow), use all mana to cast one super powerful spell! Here is what spells I have come up with:

    Chaos Explosion -> Spell Surge: Cast 50-100 random normal spells.

    Ice Snake -> Ice Age: Freeze Opponents in a large area, if hit the enemy will be freed but the damage will be multiplied by 3(idk, I just came up with three because it sounds cool).

    Meteor -> Cosmic Chaos: Summon a bunch of meteors around you then finish off with a large meteor which the explosion covers the radius.

    Teleport -> Dimensional Blitz: Choose a group of enemies to teleport through and deal damage and knockback to them.


    Now, here are the complications:

    Spell Surge has the same range as the spells, although teleport might not be in there because of issues and one shotting.

    while casting, you are NOT invincible to outside forces, if the spell is still in effect and you die, the spell immediately stops(unless in a raid and players are alive)

    To prevent accidentally casting the spell the saved mana might have to be either locked or have a certain thing that casts it because sometimes we just spellspam and pray.

    the cooldown should have to be high(probably like 5-10 minutes) to prevent spamming and lag due to the amount of assets being used.

    Finally, I doubt this would get into the game because it seems like it would be a unfair advantage, but if tweaked, it could be put in.

    (Would you have to pay?)
    (What makes a spell normal or not normal?)
    Wind prison similarities?
    Thunderstorm. 3 lightning bolts per meteor. That's a lot of mana gain. (Also, would you have to pay for them?)
    This is interesting. Although it doesn't seem to scale with some of the other abilities
    (How does it determine which one to use?)

    Definitely a cool idea even if the numbers for spell surge seem... large.

    ok, so normal spells are the non-advanced versions of the spells (so any spells at their base level, without any abilities like Artic Snake or Psychokinesis), all be it 50-100 seems excessive but is supposed to be a powerhouse.

    Ice Age would have a larger area, maybe half the range or 3/4 the range of Ice Snake.

    Thunderstorm would be instead a rain of lightning bolts.

    it determines the use by the spell you cast once you activate it.

    Cost is the 400 mana you saved up.

    and for regen, the spells do not contribute to mana regen to prevent heavy use and mana regen and mana steal would have to be postponed until the end of the spell or if you die, if you die while it still is in effect it would not keep giving you mana and you would not have any effects nor xp gained.
