This is quite a poorly articulated issue you take with the "meow", which is an issue when you are discussing server rules. I don't mean to get ahead of myself and put words in your mouth but it seems like you're saying just personally dislike this behavior or find it annoying, and want server rules to be made around this dislike of yours, regardless of whether the behavior is "harmful" or not.
(it should be obvious that this isn't how the rules should be made, as they affect many more people than just you and however many people may agree with you)
that's what the word "cringe" is coming across as meaning.
A big issue I have here with the idea of outright banning these words is that it really feels like a top-down imposition of culture by the mods on behalf of however many people seriously take issue with people saying them. I strongly dislike the idea of the way people talk and by extension their personalities being dictated by the rules of the server and the mods, outside of cases where there will be real harm done otherwise.
It's pretty normal and should be expected for very reasonable and sane people to say things such as "meow' and "nya". It makes them feel cute or something, which is a reasonable thing to want. You're missing out on a lot of potential reasonable acquaintances by avoiding people who make cat noises.

If you seriously are so thoroughly offended by femboys making cat sounds as this rando is, you should really reexamine your priorities. There are bad things much more worth fighting against than this thing, which is not only harmless, but actively good.

When it comes to shouts specifically I do understand the desire for some regulation. I haven't been online since before this cat thing became an issue, but right now it does sound to me like some regulation of shouts should be done. The "server image" argument is actually applicable here, and I care enough about Wynncraft's reputation to find it convincing. I don't like the idea of people paying for shouts and then having what they can actually say be limited for a relatively shoddy reason like this, so whatever limitation is made it should be more along the lines of a cooldown timer than just banning words we don't like, especially since this would also likely be able to protect the server against non cat related spam.

oh this thread is alive again
let me restate what i wanted to say - shouts in general should be stricter in various ways just because they could give new players a bad impression of the server, this includes my previously mentioned point of some people making definitely not suggestive shouts, the brigade shouts (fake happy birthdays, meowing in someone's messages, so on), or full-on spitting bars like a certain ex-avo strategist has recently (though that was entertaining)

We're not making that against the rules again. It was temporarily disallowed but that was a horrible mistake. There's already rules about not being allowed to make suggestive shouts, but you have some screws loose if you think shouting "meow meow nya mrow :3" is something that shouldnt be allowed

Or don't get the appeal, think it is weird and stupid.
Which I somewhat agree with, but I don't care/mind enough to say anything. Not that you can get rid of it.
