One part of me wants to say "Omg yes they're so goddamn far away from towns" but there are already instant modes of transportation front and back the raids

Pfinder tps the player to the raid entrance and /kill or scrolls brings them to the nearest town so I don't really see a need for this

It does. It's a very useful feature that has gotten a friend of mine out of a softlock.

idk what world you live in
having to stop playing the game for hours at a time, often at very inconvenient times (since some of us have schedules irl and can only play at certain times), is not nothing, it's much more than that, and that's what losing soul points makes you do.
Not to mention, while playing the game soul points make it quite hard to enjoy any parts of the game that have noticeable difficulty, as they become a looming threat that hangs over you, in addition to making it much harder unpleasant to practice if you're bad at something, and if you're like me those may be the parts of the game you especially enjoy; taking away most of the enjoyment from the parts of the game that you play the game for in the first place is a pretty serious price to pay for anything in a game, and basic transportation to areas that you've already discovered and traveled to on foot many times should not require that you pay the price of exasserbating that problem.

Look, I'm very against soul points existing here

But if you are dying enough to have to stop playing for hours you're doing something wrong

Attempting a boss and failing six times is "doing something wrong"?

I can direct you to any number of games where the bosses take more than six tries

this is called being bad at the game
that is "doing something wrong" in the sense that the mechanics of the game discourage it, the same way that when you lose a soccer match you are doing something wrong
it is not "doing something wrong" in the sense that you should expect it never to happen, because sometimes you play games that you aren't very good at when you start off. In fact much of the appeal of playing video games or games in general is the satisfaction of improving over time. Improving over time however is quite impractical and painful to do when soul points are around, so fixing this problem and ceasing to "do something wrong" is something I .

Also, if your builds aren't optimized (as they usually won't be for the early to midgame unless you're speed leveling or something; I at the very least prefer playing the game in a way where I don't use stuff from my other classes since I find it more fun; and this will be the case for anyone on their first playthrough anyways) a lot of dungeons, boss fights, even regular areas in the game, are difficult enough that you can expect to die often enough to them that soul points make you stop playing.
Beating Reincarnation in 1.20 (on a Chakram build that was mostly legendaries, by the way) took me over 30 attempts. maybe you see that as a problem, if so I'd at least like to know what your solution would be.

I was almost always happy to start/resume another quest, look for secret locations across the map, sightsee (usually on a horse), recheck NPCs, invent my own stories, take on a different boss, grind mobs somewhere, dive for treasure in the Seavale Reef—you know, anything that isn't an extreme threat to your safety—so I've only suffered from soul points twice in my entire time on Wynncraft. For people who don't love doing those things, though, I can see why soul points are an issue.

HOLY SHIT (16th swear on these forums) IT TOOK YOU THIRTY TRIES TO KILL BOB IN 1.20?! idk if its 1.20.4 is very different but in that i killed bob first try with a level 40 dagger (best weapon btw jolt of inspiration), now if it takes you that long in the previous version as assassin imagine how long it takes now....

Ok, I guess you're better at fighting bob than me.

Also no if I fought Bob now it would go a lot faster because I know what his moves are. Fighting Robob on 1.20 warrior was pretty easy for me once I'd beaten Bob on assassin, and I only got messed up when he started using his new attacks in phase 4
