Game Design material processing isn't a good mechanic.

    hello, I'm making this post to express my frustration and explain why material processing isn't a good mechanic.
    if you're planning to build a city or a town in your housing area, you need A LOT of materials for blocks, so when you go to mine materials or chop trees, you find that you don't get as many items as you mined/chopped.

    As a game dev you want players to spend less time doing mundane repetitive tasks and more time on fun or creative things. grinding and gathering materials for my builds is fun (I'm sure I will change my mind later) but having 5-20% of my material go away because of the processing mechanic makes me lose time for no good reason.

    You can make the argument that you can just buy materials from the market but my money is finite, if I spend all my money on materials I'm gonna have to grind for money which is slower.

    I suggest that material processing is kept at 100% and make it so you don't get any minerals only when your tools lose all durability.

    I've spent at least 4 hours gathering materials and I'm still not done with my first building

    when you are gathering material there is a chance of you not receiving drops, this can decrease with levels but it wastes time if you're trying to gather materials to buy blocks
