Maybe I’m just stupid, that has been the case before, but it seems to me like /fixquests n currently not at all useful unless you’re in early to midgame. I don’t know exactly when it happened, but it seems that in a recent update quest items have been changed to disappear when outside of a player’s inventory. This means that if you do /fixquests and there isn’t enough space in your inventory to get to that item, you will get items from earlier quests but not the item you need. Even if this is changed, having all of the quest items up until that point in the game to sort through is inconvenient. Were the /fixquests command changed to /fixquests <name of quest it was received from>, players could receive only the item that they need for whatever quest, making it much easier to find the quest items you need if you lose them or throw them away to save inventory space. I really like this idea. It would certainly stop some of those threads about not having a quest item. And I don't see a way how this could be exploited, quest items are generally useless.

The only way it could be exploited is by selling gear to blacksmiths, and the only gear is the abysso galoshes which already can’t be sold to prevent people from doing that

You could exploiting by throwing out items on purpose to save space.

This is not a proper fix imo. Ideally, it should look at quests you have done and scan classes/bank for the items needed. Also to improve the safety of the items so you have to get rid of them on purpose.

Is that a bad thing? It's not like you can't do this right now, it just takes more effort.

i think how bout it opens a page and lets you find the quest item you need or it gives u all quest items for the quest you have tracked. also it should allow you to restart the quest

Well, it is an exploit technically. You are not supposed to do it. Also it isn't that many items.

Just make it so you can store quest items in the quest book or something
