    Time gating Mythics is a really bad idea, we shouldn't punish people for grinding, or block players from progress for playing too much.
    And I'm not worried about chances becoming too high because even if you aquired an insanely high drop chance it just means you're unlucky as hell to begin with.

    That's not what I'm saying, I was replying to the suggestion to increase rewards based on how fast you run the forgery. A high enough daily cap doesn't actually limit your grinding speed at all, it just lets you make the same amount of progress way faster (without breaking balance from exponential growth).

    Not a good idea, it will discourage running forgery as team and also make it toxic

    Not to mention rich players with good mythics will be able to run it far quickly

    There isn’t any disadvantage to running it as a team. The mechanics are still the same, and having other players makes the combat way easier.

    Rich players with mythics have always been able to cheese every combat challenge in the game. I don’t understand how you can call the Forgery cheeseable when lootrunning is already 100 times easier and less time consuming to do. With lootrunning you don’t have to worry about losing your streak from dying, getting soft locked, obtaining the necessary keys/runes, etc. For these reasons, the Forgery should have slightly better odds to obtain mythics than lootrunning and not the other way around.

    How does buffing the drop rates discourage running at as a team? It's still faster to run with a team, and the rates will still go up?

    How does it make it toxic?

    And what do you even mean by "people with good Mythics will be able to run it to quickly"?? People with Mythics already run it faster as of right now, the rate buff won't change that. And as if this logic doesn't apply to lootrunning too? Like peoplw with Warp and Idol fucking blaze through lootruns?

    When it comes to mythics, Salted also stated in an interview that he wants to keep lootrunning as the primary method or something but wanted to change it to fix issues it has and (hopefully) make it fun. It seems that Forgery would be/still be made a secondary method by what he said. [You can find that interview on Olinus' channel]

    I do think Forgery could still do with a more rewards. I'm not really the kind of person to follow the market or anything but I imagine there might be some issues with saturating the market more than it currently is with mythics with a price increase, so I personally think a better band-aid for now would be making the forgery chest's rewards overall better so it feels a lot more worth it to use keys and runes and your time

    Late reply, but wanted to point out that buffing the forgery mythic rates to be equal roughly to loot running wouldn’t saturate the mythic market. This is because if players wanted to maximize their rates to find a mythic, they would’ve or could’ve just done loot running to begin with.

    Imagine you have 100 players trying to grind for a mythic within 40 hours. Loot running gives a mythic on average every 5 hours and the forgery gives a mythic on average every 20 (not actual values but for the sake of example go along with it). To maximize the amount of mythics the total group gets, all 100 players would loot run, bringing a total of 800 mythics after the 40 hours. If we buffed the forgery rates to be equal of loot running, then it wouldn’t matter whether or not some, all, or none of the 100 players choose to do loot running or the forgery. Because after those 40 hours, everyone would still have 800 mythics in total regardless of the proportion of loot runners to forgery runners.

    Even when the forgery is equal to loot running mythic-rate wise, loot running would still better option due to the aforementioned lower skill ceiling and lower costs. So it would still satisfy Salted’s vision of loot running being the best money making method.

    Hi all. In the next patch your forgery "pity chance" will be stored player-wide (instead of on a per-class basis). This should help out people who like to run on more than one class as the increase will apply globally. When you log in on any old class on the new patch, your old "mythic-less runs" will be migrated to your global player data. So if you log in on all your classes with spare runs, you should see a nice increase (because of the fact that the bonus is exponential). I know it's not much, but it should be a nice quality of life change for y'all, and I was able to get it through pretty quickly. In the future I'd like to take a closer look at the odds, but as I'm sure you can all appreciate, this is something we have to be careful with.
