My suggestion is pretty simple: move the Rusty Recruit in Detlas to the town square (to the building where the alchemy station is currently most likely) to make it a more attractive destination for players to spend time in.

This would make the bar a more relevant spot in Detlas and make a more immersive hangout spot. It makes sense in-universe for adventurers to relax in a bar when they're not adventuring, far more than standing around in the town square, and it could even serve as a hub for a number of quests or other events, which also makes more sense than NPCs standing in the streets hoping some adventurer comes down this alley to help them. As it is right now, the bar is just a random building almost no one goes to unless there's some quest or event that causes them to briefly head there. This seems like a small thing, but what this gives is a small, relatable hub that the player can go to that feels like a home, but one with NPCs and other players, both of whom they can interact with and develop small but meaningful connections with the community and more importantly, with the game world, which in turn makes it more immersive and gives the player more of a connection to the world they're supposed to be saving.

This suggestion was born out of the realization that the game as it is now gives the player very little connection to the world they're in; it is very mechanics-driven to the extent that role-playing doesn't really exist, which serves to make the game only interesting on a surface level. While you probably enjoy the gameplay and you may enjoy and be interested in the lore, how many people can truly say they've felt totally immersed in the game, to the extent where it almost feels like a real world and they actually genuinely care about the fate of the world or the NPCs you meet? Have you ever felt a reason to do something beyond receiving an ingame reward or benefit, purely because it felt like it was something you should do? Have you ever knowingly given up a better reward because you would have felt like the right thing to do an you cared enough to do it? That might be a lot to ask from a game that is constructed in Minecraft, but I am certain it Wynncraft could do it. They have done miraculous things that don't feel like they should even be possible. The issue is that they have not currently done much in this realm. I mean this as no insult or criticism of the development team and the people who work hard making this world. I just don't think that this is something they focus on a great deal when they're working to improve the game, which is fair: they already have a lot to do without serving as a proper fulltime writing and world-building staff. However, what this has left the game with is a glaring "who cares" in the middle of every attempt at pulling at our emotions.

You could argue that this is a waste of time and that the build team's time could be better spent elsewhere making new content or revamping old content in need of a new look. but I would counter that providing a well-known, universal home of sorts that players will remember as a fun part of their journey would go a long way towards making the game more immersive and memorable world, and giving the game a bit more character. This is simply a relatively small and easy way to do so. While Detlas as a whole already serves this purpose, having a single, small location with a lot of character and charm makes it more of a central hub that you'll remember and have a stronger emotional connection to than a random section of cobbled road. Giving the player a thing to call home that they share with other people and NPCs (to be clear: not housing; something that is a shared experience in the world) gives them a shared experience in a specific area that they care about, which makes the world more real and gives them more of a reason to care about it.

Finally, to be clear, I don't think this is the only change that can or should be made, or that this would magically make everyone start crying when [Spoiler Alert] Aledar dies or something. I just wanted to give an example of something that occurred to me that would be an easy, quick change that could be made that would help with what I think is an issue with the game. I do genuinely think this is a good idea, it's not just a nonsensical example, but I also want to be clear that I think this is a major issue that negatively affects all of the lore and storytelling done in the game and that this is just one small but manageable step that could potentially help make the player more immersed in and connected with the world of Wynncraft.

I read tags! And this is a good suggestion, yes, +1. The "role-playing" part of "MMORPG" is kinda lacking in Wynn.

I'm not really a major role-player even. I generally prefer mechanic-focused games, but it just feels totally absent in Wynncraft. It's a major let-down for a game to fail in one degree when it can do so well in its gameplay and quest mechanics, which feels like they should be harder given that this is in Minecraft for Salted's sake! They manage to make the best quests, mechanically, of nearly any game I've ever played, but they don't make me emotionally connect with the NPCs in them.
