So I kinda have some ideas to make Shadestepper even stronger and changes a few of its archetypes and names but some are stays the same. So here's my ideas:

    Manslayer (Replacement of Shadestepper)
Archetype description: Manslayer hides themselves then slaughters their victims blindly without mercy.

    1. Merciless Slash (Replacement of Backstab): Multihit deal 12 more hits but deal -30% damage for each hit.
    - Mana cost: -5
    - Ability Points: 2
    - Required ability: Multihit
    - Min Manslayer Archetype: 2

    2. Strength of Shadow (Replacement of Surprise Strike): After reappearing from vanishing gain an 60% damage boost for 1s.
    - Ability Points: 2
    - Required Ability: Vanish
    - Min Manslayer Archetype: 3

    3. Bloodlust (Replacement of Marked): Whenever you hit a mob, for each hits grants +10% Bloodlust damage capped at 200% (Expires after 5s when you no longer hit a mob)
    - Ability Points: 2
    - Min Manslayer Archetype: 5
Note: casting spells and powder specials counts as a single hit to the Bloodlust bar
(Bloodlust appears with a bar same case as Fallen’s corrupted bar)

    4. Fatal Stab (Replacement of Ambush): Increases the Strength of Shadow's damage by +60%
    - Ability Points: 1
    - Required Ability: Strength of Shadow
    - Min Manslayer Archetype: 4

    5. Savage lust (Replacement of Death Magnet): Increase Bloodlust damage cap by +100%
(200% Maximum Bloodlust Cap -> 300% Maximum Bloodlust Cap)
    - Ability Points: 2
    - Required Ability: Bloodlust
    - Min Manslayer Archetype: 5

    6. Death Circle (Replacement of Fatal spin): Increases spin attacks’ area of effects, damage, adds +20% Bloodlust, and stun enemies for 1s to enemies that hit by spin attack.
    - Mana cost: -5
    - Effects: Freeze enemies for 1s
    - Area of Effect: +1 block (Circle-Shaped)
    - Total Damage: 30% (of your DPS)
    (Damage: 20% Neutral, 10% Thunder)
    - Ability Points: 2
    - Required Ability: Bloodlust
    - Min Manslayer Archetype: 8
(With this perk, Spin attack will give +20% to the bloodlust bar while the other attacks still gives 10%)

    7. Syphon (Replacement of Harvester): After you killed a mob during bloodlust gain 5% health back as healing
    - Ability Points: 2
    - Required Ability: Bloodlust

    8. Bleeding (Replacement of More Marks): While at 100% Bloodlust bar, your next hit drains a mob’s health for 0.5% of their maximum health for 10s
    - Ability Points: 1
    - Required Ability: Bloodlust
(Symbol when Bleeding is activated on a mob: )
    (Bleeding tick: 0.3s)
Note: Bleeding will triggers to many mobs as long as you are above 100% Bloodlust bar

    9. Torturer's Berserk (Replacement of Satsujin) Reaching the maximum bloodlust damage cap on a mob while Bleeding also activates, your next hit reduced enemies’ defences by -50%
    - Effect: -50% resistance bonus to enemies
    - Ability Points: 2
    - Min Manslayer Archetype: 12
Note: Torturer’s Berserk can only be activated once at a time on a single mob but the duration is endless until the enemy is dead, as long as you still on maximum Bloodlust bar the effects still trigger

    10. Stronger Lust (Replacement of Better Marked): Increase the bloodlust damage by +10% (10% -> 20%)
    - Ability Points: 1
(Spin attack will gives +30% to the Bloodlust Bar while the rest has been upgraded to +20%)

    11. Blood Wine (Replacement of Devour): Increases Bloodlust's healing by +10% (5% -> 15%)
    - Ability Points: 1
    - Required Ability: Syphon

This changes was made for a single mob such as bosses, the Other Shadetspper archetypes that didn't included on this lists are still works the same

    Truly an assassin pregavel moment.

this is kinda just stock assassin from 1.20, but tuned to up to 31, shadestepper really doesnt need to be changed I think trickster and acrobat are far more in need of buffs and changes.

Naming could use some work. No offense, but Shadestepper sounds cooler than "Manslayer", especially in the context of a role title

Personally I think these changes mostly change things that are fine with shade.

I think the issue with shade is that it contradicts what it’s play-style should be.

The class is meant to be a hit and run glass cannon that stacks buffs, but the class punishes players for using it that way. For example: after leaving vanish, there is no way to retreat and with how awful dash is, you are basically a glassy sitting duck.

The class also seems to be based on single target combat. Although it has abilities that are either useless or harmful during single target combat such as violent vortex or death magnet.

Overall the changes you suggested will not change shade that much. That is because they do not fix the biggest issues with that archetypes.

P.S: the names of the abilities and the new name for shade are… too edgy, at least in my opinion.

um did we mix shadestepper with warrior? anyway its an inspired list of changes that i unfortunately disagree with. I feel as if the strength of shadows idea is the best and other than that all shade really needs is a better ability that death magnet and more surviveability (lower vanish cooldown, give suprise strike its own cooldown idk).

like others said above, trickster is more in need of changes and acrobat really just needs a damage buff and maybe make shurikens USEFUL

In fairness 1.20 assassin was really fun, especially compared to other 1.20 classes. Maybe they should replace trickster with it. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of it in 2.0 assassin, because all of the archetypes feel like they have less variety than it did.

That said this really doesn't fit with what shadestepper currently plays like, which is in my opinion the archetype least in need of changes right now. I think most of these are also really, really strong and need to be toned way down. especially the ability to do % hp damage to an enemy, which I don't think the player should ever be able to do as the game is now.
