World Making Things Make Sense

Wynncraft has a pretty great story and lore, but one thing that has been bothering me for quite some time is that a lot of the game mechanics just make no sense to their lore. For example, and correct me if I'm wrong but dungeon merchants make literally no sense being where they are and the same applies to the potion merchants as well. And maybe a quest for The Forgery cuz as far as we know its just a bunch of rocks floating with gateways to random places in the province of wynn.

Either way its not too big a deal but a change would be nice.

 

Literally almost nothing in the game makes sense and that’s just how it is; it’s like saying that magic is unrealistic.

 

The forgery is a spot where reality has fractured after an ancient civilization combined a bunch of runes. The corrupted dungeons take place in an alternate reality where the corruption took over everything.

 

There's a concept called Gameplay and Story Segregation. Sometimes it's acceptable to have, for instances of player convenience- generally, merchants and blacksmiths letting players gear up properly is one of those acceptable breaks- sure, it's weird to have a blacksmith hanging around the Nexus of Light, but if there wasn't one you'd have to run a very far ways back to get your equipment repaired supposing you were using crafteds.

 

When the runes were combined ages ago, the Forgery burst from the ground. Sealed by its anchors is a mysterious fracture in space and time from which the structure draws its power. (Forgery's Secret Discovery - Fracture in Reality)

Mysterious runes, held by inexplicable ancient guardians, were once moulded together for study purposes. The experiment went awry, as the runic words Nii, Az, and Ek were combined in a reaction that resulted in the collapse of a civilization. (Az's Item Lore)

 

I would LOVE a quest(line) catered to the happenings of the Forgery and corrupted dungeons.
