Wynncraft has recently been doing events such as The Bonfire Festival or The Festival of the Blizzard.
These events has given players the opportunity to gain a surplus amount of cosmetics, and I feel that if the team were able to make a cosmetic trading system it would be great. For example last year during the first Bonfire event my friends received a cosmetic I was hoping for while I got the one he wanted and being able to trade would be amazing. Although I completely disagree with cosmetics to be able to be traded like regular items. For example, trading emeralds for cosmetics. I think it would only work if you could trade cosmetics only for other cosmetics. Right now the only con I could see would that people would pay real money for cosmetics but then again that happens with regular items as well.
Feel free to criticize my points, I know they aren't perfect.

My issue with this is that trading items for cosmetics would absolutely happen. There's not really any way to prevent it besides just not letting people trade cosmetics.

As much a I would love something like this, crates are pretty popular when it comes to purchases so I do worry that this would put a fat dent in Wynn's revenue since people wouldn't need to buy crates anymore. Just wait for the higher ranks to get cosmetics from their daily crates and then eventually they'll be widespread and found all over the place.

Personally, I wish crates wouldn't give you duplicate cosmetics UNTIL you have at least one of each cosmetic. I'm not even joking, I scrapped my cosmetics and I got the Driftwood Relik 6 times in a row.

Would be cool, but yeah… there would just not really be a way to prevent players from trading items on the side as part of the exchange.

Perhaps if you were required to swap cosmetics (so that both players would be forced to give 1 cosmetic to the other) there would be less incentive to item trade on the side, especially if you were also forced to only swap cosmetics of the same rarity (so that giving away any item as part of the trade would feel a bit too expensive), but then of course there is still just no way of outright preventing it.

And I don’t know how I would feel about a system were cosmetics were intentionally tradable for money and items.
On one hand, the irl money only goes in, and not out, so is it really irl trading? But on the other hand: blatant pay to win.
