I may draft a more in-depth analysis with my thoughts and ideas on Shadestepper/Assassin once I reach the point where I've tested a wide enough range of builds in a wide enough range of situations (LI, Raids, etc.)

For now I'm writing this based on my Shadestepper experience using EWA Grimtrap and E/TWF Oblivion in addition to complaints/comments I've seen floating around forums and Discord.

    The Idea:
Integrate some kind of small % life steal/drain - obviously name it something else as this conflicts with the existing item ID life steal - into the lower ends of the Shadestepper tree (to balance by forcing full spec into Shadestepper in order to use this ability). Perhaps this ability would USE your life steal ID but be applied to a killing blow regardless of it being a melee or spell attack.

I think this new ability could fit well as a buff to Harvester if not a replacement or new ability on its own.

    Why?
Shadestepper seems to struggle with the high-risk high-reward gameplay (I won't go into detail because that's a whole other discussion to be had when comparing the classes) and this ability would add some comfort/support and make the archetype more user-friendly.

Let me know if you want an in-depth analysis as mentioned at the beginning sooner rather than later and I'll try to play Shadestepper more than I currently am to make this happen. ALSO LET ME KNOW HOW THE COLOURS LOOK (I USE DARK MODE).

P.S. - Please rework/nerf Virus Doctor, for the love of God.

Colors are fine for light mode. For thoughts on the idea I haven’t played shadestepper (or any assassin archetype for that matter) but I suppose it could work? I think instead of basing it off life steal it could just be %health because life steal should already be enough heal? Idk I haven’t played assassin yet maybe life steal isn’t enough sustain.

I've been using builds with super slow attack speed and in some situations you simply can't get much health back from the occasional hits you get. Though this differs from situation to situation (i.e bosses with little-no minions).

Regardless, I too think a small single digit %health gained from a kill is the better option than life steal.
