Game Mechanics arcanist buff

It's kinda known that arcanist needs a buff. The damage output is about the same as riftwalker, but at least riftwalker has HEALS. For something that's advertised as "burst damage and mana", it gives on the mana part, but damage not so much.

Compare the two:

In the arcanist one, you can see that you get more mr and 14k damage with the meteor. If you swapped to riftwalker, you could get more survivability, and you could get 12k meteors.

Sounds like that riftwalker has worse damage and mana than arcanist then? So what's the problem?

That damage total isn't including riftwalker's winded. With a full 30 winded, you can get 34k meteors, at the expense of 5/5 mr! Even if the winded were halved, there would still be 23k meteors, which is still 9k more than the arcanist meteor.

so tl;dr for this part riftwalker deals like 10k more (in this build) with winded, arcanist sucks and it doesn't have heal, super weak bruh

How to solve: buff arcanist so it doesn't fail at its job at being the super glass cannon

Probably should change pyrokinesis because it's melee and arcanist is majorly spell based, maybe change it to something like:

Pyrokinesis
When your mana bank reaches 30,
Burning Sigil will shine brighter, exploding
when enemies are inside of it.

+200% damage per explosion
140% fire 60% neutral

Arcane Restoration would work the same when the enemies are inside of Burning Sigil. Also, Wisdom should be buffed to 10/5s rather than 5/5s

Arctic Snake should also be changed so that when the enemy is frozen during that 1s, meteors do +5% more damage

Psychokinesis should also be buffed so that it gives +120% of your dps, 90% earth 30% neutral

and that's it for my lecture on why arcanist should be buffed

Nerf Riftwalker... and every other class minus maybe assassin.

 

Idk what you mean. Shaman is pretty balanced rn. Or at least from my playthrough of ritualistic and acolyte.

 

This is because of Devitalize (reduces mob damage for every stack of Winded they have)

I don't think this would be enough for me to choose archanist over rift walker.

But I like the frozen enemy receives more damage idea. Should be more tho, because Winded is like 5% per.

 

wait a minute you ignoring acolyte healing? and the damage from it? ive only gotten like 50 levels on it but even with a horribly under leveled weapon (35) i literally destroy everything
