Game Mechanics Balance Suggestions

    I can't stop making these lmao
    Assassin remains my only endgame class, as I am too lazy to go level my warrior, or even to log on to wynn much, so again, this post will mostly consist of assassin suggestions. I'll try to be more specific this time.

    -REVERT KNOCKBACK. There was absolutely no reason for the change to knockback and it's a huge pain in places like wynn where you constantly get pelted with attacks.

    -Replace righting with an ability that improves dash's range significantly (maybe for 1 ap, depends on how much it improves dash).

    -Make shadow travel give speed for 5 seconds on dash/vanish cast instead of only working inside of vanish.

    -Replace parry with an ability that makes agi a 100% dodge for 1 ap.

    -Increase acrobat's general dps significantly. It really does not deal enough damage as the only rapid dps archetype on assassin.

    -Replace blazing powder with "better spin attack", an ability that increases spin attack's damage for 1 ap, and replace death magnet with an ability that gives spin a 1.5s stun.

    -Do a huge rework of trickster. I'm sorry for not being more specific about this one, but I don't have enough experience with trickster to know what exactly should be changed about it and I'd rather be in the dark than have playtime on that archetype. What I can point out is that its clone cd is way too long and sandbagging doesn't help much if at all, and lure speeding up enemies kind of defeats the point of its huge smoke bomb fortress.

    -Give riftwalker lower base damage than the other mage archetypes.

    -Replace useless damage abilities on paladin like shield strike, sparkling hope, and burning heart with abilities that give it natural health sustain and make it even tankier but lower its damage. Probably give mythril skin 10% extra resistance if the first suggestion becomes a reality.

    Extra question, has hoodwink not working with lacerate been fixed yet? Slowness is cringe

    Yess finally someone who acknowledges how assassins got screwed with the archetypes!! I love the idea to change the righting ability.

    Tbh in my opinion knockback is fine, probs should be reduced, but it's the ranged mobs that are the problem. There's no reason why a player should be stun locked from 15 blocks away and unable to move only to get slaughtered for an inescapable situation. Not all Archetypes have ranged attacks, and this really screws over melee users more than anything. I will admit, if they got rid of knockback all together, I wouldn't complain tho.

    Man why do people hate Righting so much lol. It makes it 10x easier to aim Multihit and Lacerate downward to hit enemies below you

    Only comment I have on this is that this would give Assassin players perma speed 5 since they can start cycling Dash which is...insane.

    I assume by this you mean if you do successfully dodge it completely negates the damage? I like the idea but...it sounds really broken for an archetype that's never supposed to get hit anyway (unless it's a ranged mob or something). Tbh parry should act similar to Counter which would give Acro a bit more DPS and also enable it to strike opponents from afar that may potentially screw it over (looking at you Machine Gun mobs)

    So I've seen a lot of people talk about Acro DPS and tbh it's fine as is. It's not hard to reach 8-10k Jasmine Bloom which is passive damage. Literally free for doing nothing but casting spells. 20k+ multihit is also pretty easy to get, and before anyone says "you don't use multihit as acrobat", it is possible to aim Lacerate and Multihit downward. This is where Righting Reflex comes into play, making it much much easier to hit enemies below you without sinking like a brick. Acrobat requires skill to use unlike Shadestepper or Trickster. Also Shurikens help chip in extra damage. Although, I will say, it would be nice if there was an ability that maybe boosted your overall damage by a slight amount for every few seconds you're airborne, resetting once you touch the ground. (Ex: every 3s you are airborne increases your damage by +5% (maximum +50% probably would be multiplicative but I don't know how damage values work tbh. This is just a proof of concept). Resets once you are no longer airborne (less than 1.25 blocks off the ground))

    I do agree with this: I wish Blazing Powder wasn't just a fire damage boost and made Spin Attack stronger since this is Trickster's main source of DPS

    I've been tempted to make a post about my thoughts on how Trickster could be reworked while still retaining the Tank/Agro taking functionality without it being a scuffed Paladin clone. Might post that tonight or smth.

    Completely agree: Riftwalker completely outshines Light Bender and Arcanist in terms of damage and Light Bender relies on Riftwalker Winded to actually have DPS. They either need to reduce the maximum stacks of Winded or lower the overall damage that each Winded stack gives

    I personally think Shield Strike is fine in concept but in dire need of a damage boost. Sparkling Hope needs...some work. I'm pretty sure my 1k melee attack would deal more DPS compared to my 3k HPR. I don't think Mythril skin needs changing but Martyr needs help for the love of God.
    Martyr provides allies with 3s of Immunity and is locked behind a 10m Cooldown.
    Sunflare provides allies with 5s of Immunity and is locked behind a 20s Cooldown.
    Just...why. I would love to see something along the lines of protecting a nearby ally from fatal damage (slap like a 20m Cooldown on it). Makes it 100x more useful.
    Burning Heart provides a nice DPS boost but the unfortunate reality is that it's a 90% chance that you won't hit that Health Bonus cap to get that free 100% fire damage boost. They need to lower the health requirement because there are very few weapons and armor that give enough health bonus. I don't think Paladin should have its damage nerfed because it already deals next to nothing in terms of damage. If you want DPS as paladin, you have to unlock Quad Bash, Fireworks, Stronger Uppercut, and/or Comet to actually deal even a mediocre amount damage.

    Well reflex is actually a good ability, especially for the reasons stated above, I dont care for parry and i like the dodge idea.

    A suggestion came up for death magnet somewhere, When leaving vanish stun all mobs in the area for a short time, this seems much better than just pulling people who want to murder you toward you.
    Acrobat dps IS a problem in my opinion, and I've made a thread on something related to your idea on staying in the air that could help, its not as big of a problem as many people say but I still cant beat mummyboard (this is with 60kish or so ehp and rewind), of course I could be doing something terribly wrong but yeah.

    Riftwalker should be made a but more timebendy than just extra damage over time but yeah it is insanely powerful, Ive been playing late game riftbender and its really strong, I could go as far to say that if it was lvl 90 (rn its 80) it could be as strong as my assassin.

    Instead of just boosting natural health and such, how about abilities that actually make paladin more interesting? I wont say my ideas here and people have already made a lot of stuff on it too, abilities that encourage a more active playstyle.

    oh and lastly the speed thing should only be for vanish not dash because as mentioned above, it would be insanely high speeded

    We apparently have very different playstyles on acro, do you use mythics?

    dash horizontal movement is pretty scuffed, if a class like archer which can deal ridiculous amounts of dps from a range can have permanent speed assassin probably should too. also, i can solo li with no difficulty using morph acro, you are definitely doing something wrong

    I think every 1s would be better since you would need to stay airborne for 30 seconds to max out the damage boost. Also I would like having an ability to refresh righting reflex without touching the ground since that would reset the damage boost.

    Definitely agree that it would be nice if Reflex had a cooldown so it could be reused if you ended up using up the full 5 seconds
