Game Mechanics A potential method to fix lootrunning, but also keep normal gameplay normal

All lootrunners would hate me if this got implemented.

Currently:
Loot is generated based off how long the chest has been sitting untouched on that world

My idea:
Loot is generated based off how long ago you the player looted a chest.

This would nuke lootrunning, but also keep normal gameplay (questing) enjoyable and not very grindy.

I don't know how good of an idea this is as I can see some downsides (such as looking for specific gear during gameplay) but I can also see some upsides

 

Why do I feel like doing any changes to loot chests would affect mythics' prices significally

 

I feel people should be able to open a lot of chests, instead of being limited to one every few hours. With that said, I do feel the whole loot system needs a rework.

 

Why are 90% of my forums notifications this morning loot run threads?

To be nihilistic I think the economy & loot running is too far gone to be repaired lol.

 

Nice, that could help normal players and nerf lootruns.
