Website & Forums Live Map Waypoint In-Game

As a very new player the live map is very cool and useful, I think a useful functionality would be to allow players to use it to place down markers that would place a corresponding beacon beam, similar to the current quest tracker, in-game. This could be used to coordinate parties better, help players who aren't that good at reading maps, and alleviate single-monitor players from having to alt-tab back-and-forth as often.

 

While this suggestion would provide clear upsides, it wouldn't really do anything that coords can't already do. I definitely have some bias as a rather experienced player, since I'm more used to the map, but I think that waypoints wouldn't be that useful of an addition, and there are other issues Wynncraft's attention should go towards fixing more. Don't get me wrong, I don't think this is a bad idea, I just think that it's not really a priority.

also, swiping left and right between a browser and minecraft is smth I do anyway regardless of the map, and it's not that bad
