Part 1:

NPC: You, I’ve heard you had dealings with a dragon, that’ll make you useful for this quest

NPC: Have you ever heard of the seal of the dragons

NPC: No, well we believe it may have broken

NPC: You see we’ve heard reports of abnormally dangerous balrogs in this area

NPC: We’ve heard of one in a nearby location with other balrogs

NPC: I’d like you to investigate this area for evidence

NPC: Anything from this Balrog should be evidence enough, good luck


Go to the Balrog area

Entrance: 1510, 75, -5571

Location: 1538, 88, -5674


Level 92: Balrog Area


While the quest is active instead of spawning a level 92 balrog it spawns a level 100 balrog who drops flaming darkness which is a quest item

Part 2:

NPC: Yes, this should be quite enough evidence

NPC: But we should learn more about this threat

NPC: There is an ancient library in the sky island forgotten to most in a place of ice that tells of this seal

Long ago many dragons roamed the land and they ruled the skies, ancient civilizations did fear them, but they had a use. The civilizations used scales from the dragon for powerful rituals, shields, and weapons.


The shields and weapons are all but lost but some altars from these days remain in which use powerful runes scattered across the land.


The dragon's power was often used to vanquish powerful foes in which the world may be turned asunder in its wake.


One of the greatest of these foes were the Balrogs.


The void the largest source of darkness clashed with a mythical source of light in the mountains called ___ later called molten heights the clash of light and darkness is known to create the corruption and the greatest of these clashes created the Balrog, the darkness corrupted the light core in a battle that created the greatest source of corruption, the light core and the darkness fuels the balrogs and as long as they could return to the light core they were nearly unbeatable, they transformed the land called ____ and turned it into a nightmarish land.


But a civilization called the ___ used dragon scales and sealed the Balrogs over time the Balrogs outside began to weaken, unable to return. As the dragons were no longer useful after foes passed on to myth the great dragon killing began and only one survivor remained.

Part 3:

NPC: So surely the seal breaking is a consequence of the great dragon killing

NPC: They must have stopped replacing dragon scales

NPC: We need to find dragon scales and I know of the location of the one remaining dragon as I’m sure you do too

NPC: We need to talk to the king and his advisors at ___


NPC: So with this proof it is clear that the seal of the dragons has broken

NPC: We believe that the ___ had to regularly replace dragon scales and after the great dragon killing the balrog’s have slowly been escaping and eventually may be able to return

NPC: Our plan is to go and harvest the scales of the last remaining dragon and attempt to replace it

NPC: If it all goes well this shall become regular


Royal Advisor 1: What makes you think that this’ll work the Balrogs are far too powerful, are you sure they haven’t broken the seal with there power, blaming the great dragon killing is foolish


Royal Advisor 2: The risk is great and that dragon isn’t especially powerful we cannot send people into this mess, we must go on defense not on offense


King: However we don’t have the weapons to fight this battle, I say we must, it is a risk that we must be willing to take, I allow you to go on this quest but we will not fund the quest itself for we must at least have some supplies for an all out war.


Part 4:


We only have salvaged this it’s a tool that can scrape the dragon scales off of the dragon

Go to Ozar’s Dragon on the spire


Go to the dragon and 9 places on the dragon will have a left click with that item to get a scale off of the dragon bring back 9.


Go back to the npc


NPC: These are some good dragon scales it should be enough to repair the shield make sure to only replace one at a time or it’ll allow the balrogs through, they don’t need to be physical, good luck

Bak’al: So you’ve come to repair the shield, I am afraid it is only but you who is trapped now

Bak’al: With the darkness being aided by the Molten Core we have gained enough power to destroy the seal

Bak’al: I’m intrigued to see your last attempts to stop the inevitable


(Replace the shield part by part)


Bak’al: Only 9 dragon scales of a weak dragon, your attempts to stop us have been for naught, all it will do is keep you in here, for the balrog’s power has become too much.
