Website & Forums Search box on forums

Add a search box for sub-forums (Questions / suggestions / bug reports ect) and relocate the search box on the main page to be in a more intuitive position (halfway down the page on the right is way too easy to miss)

Suggested locations:


I would advise ether:
a. adding a small magnifying glass icon on the main navigation bar (very top), right next to the account icon (i have added this on the first photo in black)
b. adding a search text box on the title bar of the forums and each sub-forum (as i have shown in my 2 screenshots in blue)

Why and how will this help:
so i was just submitting a bug report and so as part of this its common curtesy to check that the bug hasn't already been reported before however theres no search function which makes it very hard and time consuming to go through all the bugs to cheak that your not just raising a duplicate report (which lets be honest will mean that most people will just be lazy and just raise it without checking) expecally when the bug which your raising may fit in a couple of different categories
The same applies for this sub forum (suggestions) as there are 9,360 (thats 424 pages) of suggestions whick very few people (including me) do not have the time for or do not want to spend the insane amount of time going through them all to avoid duplication

Workaround:
Edit: turns out that there is a search function but its only on the main forums page, its located halfway down the page on the right hand side, im leaving the workaround section below as its useful for other websites
for those people needing a workaround for this you can use google to do this if you put "search site:*link to the root page of the subforum" so some examples below (however this really dosnt work very well buts its better than nothing)

looks cool! I agree though, it would be much more nicer.Also add a poll please!

 

there is a search bar in the sidebar of the main page under the 'connect with our community' section and above the 'staff online now' section

Fair enough, didnt see that but its really hard to find and very easy to miss since its hidden in the side bar and towards the bottom at that, i still feel this applies tho, but would be way easier to add as all the backend is done and only needs the webpages to have a new link

Things that id say needs to be done:
the search should be added to every subforum instead of only the main page
the search box should be moved to be and icon on the top bar next to account icon (drawn in black) or to the right of the title on each page (in blue) on both the main page and each subforum

 

Maybe you should update your original suggestion to this, because I think this is a good idea, whereas the original solution already exists.
