Wynncraft NEEDS you to be careful in your CHOICES and what to do, as in it's not a runaway game from reality even if it is MMORPG. But this thread is not about criticism, but a beginner's guide. This is the link for an official guide, but I must tell you this Guide is better for its to-the-point delivery and if you want a quick play of Wynncraft.

First Playthrough:

- Read everything first before you start playing, this will give your a glimpse into what you're going to do in the future.

- Use the bomb bell discord and get to the world with a 2x Combat XP Bonus.
- Always check /pfinder before grinding, there are usually parties (groups to achieve their goal). Ask people or friends to help you grind, the SDU Guild will gladly help you with Mob Totems (Increase the spawn rate of mobs), Scrolls (Increase health and damage), 2x Combat XP Bonus Bomb.
- Try to always powder your weapon, usually mobs have weak elements, try to check it and powder your weapon according to the weaknesses. People usually powder their weapons to fight the weakness of grind or boss mobs. Powder your armor only if you are rich and want to kill specific mobs. Find what their element damage is and powder your armor according to it.
- If you are doing quests, check the spoiler in the quests section.
- Search for a guild, or join guilds' discords. They provide giveaways and helpful tips.

- Lvl 1-5, Grind zombies in front of Ragni
- Lvl 5-15, Grind pigmen in the south pigmen ravines
- Lvl 15-29, Grind Nemract Spiders (-40, 80, -1991)
- Lvl 29-45, Grind Llevigar Spiders (-2150, 80, -4718). Use Adventurer Set
- Lvl 45-65, Grind Herb Cave (-505, 80, -821), At lvl. 65 you can start doing forgery runs, the minimum level requirement for the corrupted dungeon is the req. lvl minus 5. This means if the requirement is lvl. 70 you can get in at lvl. 65 since 70-5=65.
- Lvl. 65-70, Grind Flesh Cave (-1003, 80, -5547) on top of Gelibord or Waterfall, also do some forgery runs (Corrupted Decrepit Sewers - CDS, search people around to help you with, you can also follow people to dungeons, go to the player's world that wants to do the dungeon, and follow them to the dungeon)
- Lvl. 80 do ??? Quest, search in /pfinder. For the next grinding party and forgery dungeon party, use the set, as it will help you level up quickly.
- Lvl. 70-85, Grind Flesh Cave (-1003, 80, -5547) or Waterfall and forgery runs.
- Lvl. 85-103, Grind Angels (1144, 80, -4373) or Mirror Cave in Ahmsord. At lvl. 89, doing Corrupted Undergrowth Ruins - CUR is the best way with cosmic set added with 2x Combat XP Bonus, Wisdom Potion, XP bonus weapon, you can gain 6 times the average XP, my highest was 12 million XP from 1 run.
- At lvl. 103 do the hunter's calling quest with a party or people that want to help. Once you did, every time you do dungeon runs and grinding turn on the hunted mode, you can change your existed class that has done the quest to a hunted mode by right-clicking your soul point and enabling it. The Hunted mode will give you a 50% Combat XP Bonus and a 50% Gathering XP Bonus.
- Lvl. 103-106, do whatever you want, this took the longest but if you are diligent in doing CUR runs, you will get there in no time, doing quests, mini-quests, discoveries, and secret discoveries you haven't done from LVL 1-102 is probably the fastest.

Starting your First Playthrough without Stress

Don't forget to always check the spoilers. It's important for you to love the game to play the game or you'll leave the game at level 50 which is basically only 20% of the marvelous content from Wynncraft that makes 800 players every day join the server to play. So removing the stress is unavoidable and a need.

┇⚜️┇Play the game in 1.12.2 version (It is the best version to play on the server for the performance. If your game performance is still bad, try checking your video settings such as chunk rendering and particles. Your device's hardware is important in playing Wynncraft)

┇⚜️┇Use Wynntills mod (This is optional, but very recommended if you have played for a certain amount of time, If you haven't, try vanilla first without the mod to get some insights into how incredible the works of the staff members! Run the 1.12.2 version, and download the Wynntills mod + 1.12.2 Forge. If the 1.12.2 version is done, close it. Then you should type %appdata% in windows, or files in the search bar. Open the .minecraft file, and create a new folder (rename it to mods). Put the Wynntills mod + 1.12.2 Forge files to the mods folder you just created. Run the 1.12.2 version and then play Wynncraft.

I recommend mage because you will die a lot in your first playthrough since you don't have the idea of how brutal the mobs are in the games. The healing spell helps a lot. Consumables are hard to come by in your first playthrough, and stocking them is draining your money needlessly. I recommend shaman if you are not fast at making spells if you don't want to waste money on consumables. Even though you find a lot of them in chests, at a higher level it will be hard to get consumables, going back and forth from grinding spots to cities or looting chest will take most of your time and you are basically poor. Still, if you can't find a potions merchant with your level, go to someone housing and check if they have a potion merchant, they have all the potions from different levels.

┇❄️┇Wynntills provide a map, but if you can't use wynntills, this is the official map by the server, and this is a much better map by wynnbuilder. These maps are important because you will lose your ways a lot.
┇❄️┇Fast-Travel. There are quests that give you access to fast travel. This is the link for it. The name says it all, you can travel for free and faster using the fast-travels.

In level 103, you will have a quest called "A Hunter's Calling" It will unlock Hunted mode, you can change your existed class that has done the quest to a hunted mode by right-clicking your soul point and enabling it. The Hunted mode will give you a 50% Combat XP Bonus and a 50% Gathering XP Bonus. The reason why is because at profession lvl. 70+, you will only gain at least ± 2% XP. For lvl. 70+ professions, buying a gathering XP crafted armor and accessories is the best tips, check the professions discord for help in professions. I want to recommend this video by René @ReneCZ, but some people at professions discord doesn't like it. This is a guide for the materials, a very helpful guide.

┇❄️┇For your first playthrough, doing Quests is time-consuming but if you find it worth it and love the game more, go ahead. If you are doing quests, these tips are a must to read. Here are some tips for quests:

- Search for Guides on Youtube, I recommend Aezerie videos, Aezerie's videos provides quick guides, if you want more inputs on quests and enjoy quests, I recommend Olinus10's videos, there are other CCs for wynncraft content, please check videos made by other CCs too! Maybe they will suit you better! You should use guides every time you do quests because there are rewards that will be obtained in the future.
- Wynntills is the best.
- When doing Memory Paranoia Quest, Get the spoon from the fireplace as many as you can for future playthroughs. When doing The Bigger Picture, while heading to the mushroom village, go to -305, 91, -7705 to get the Small Mushroom. If you are ever on Skien island try to get the paintings. This is all for the ??? or Question Mark Quest. This is the guide from Aezerie.
- When you are level 80, immediately finish ??? Quest, it will give you cosmic set armor which if you are lucky you can gain a 250% XP bonus, this set of armor will be useful for doing forgery dungeon runs.
- Throw away quests items. You can gain them back by using /fixquests
- Some Quests give untradable items. These items could be sold at the highest price such as 3 Le, ex. Caissop Masterpiece Painting. You should use guides every time you do quests because there are rewards that will be obtained in the future.

So this tip is not only about grinding but the best way to get to lvl. 106, If you are quick, you can get to lvl. 105 within 2 days, (If you like to enjoy your time in the server, this quick leveling guide is NOT recommended!) here are the tips:

- Rainbow items (It's 100% Stats for items, you can see it with wynntills and sell it in the trade market for a lot of emeralds)
- Powders, save them! Tier II-VI. Remember you can get powder from dungeon merchants too which saves your money from buying expensive powders from trade markets
- Armor & Weapon with XP Bonus, and Fabled. You might be struck by finding legendary items, only save them if you use it. If not just sell them, they will take a lot of slots from your bank.
- Some Quests give untradable items. These items could be sold at the highest price such as 3 Le, ex. Caissop Masterpiece Painting. You should use guides every time you do quests because there are rewards that will be obtained in the future.
- Throw away quests items. You can gain them back by using /fixquests
- Item from lvl. 85-103 are important from common to mythic. Search a build first for your endgame build. You would want an XP Bonus - XPB build for CUR runs or grinding, Damage - DPS builds (Melee or Spell), War build if you join a guild, Professions build, and Lootrun build. Lvl. 1-106 Build for your future class is optimal.
- Event items. Always check for event items, there are a lot of benefits, for example, wynnter fair has crazy good stuff, like Saint set, Ornamental set, and consumables.

┇❄️┇Ranks. You rich? Buy. Buy it when there's a discount. Ranks are OP, they are permanent and give perks such as mob totems and bombs. It is kind of a P2W server.
┇❄️┇Raids. If you have a good guild or team, do raids! It won't level you up as much as methods up above, but it gives you some items, there's a chance to get mythic! It took a lot of energy so I don't recommend it.
┇❄️┇Music. The music in-game is usually lagged. It doesn't sound as perfect as the playlist there on youtube. Connect your earphone/headphone to another device that plays this music, I'm usually using my phone. The music creates a really good atmosphere.
┇❄️┇Commands. /itemlock /kill, /toggle, /skiptutorial, /particles, /stream, /daily, /gu rewards, /g chat & /msg or /r, /pfinder are the important commands. For /trade, you can shift+right click the person you want to trade with. For /duel, you can shift+left click the person you want to duel with. If you can't click the text in the chat for bombs, you can do /claimitembomb and /claimingredientbomb. /rules Remember!
┇❄️┇Builds. If you want to check the precise stats of your build (Armour, weapon, accessories, and other stuff) you can use Wynnbuilder for the best result. If you want to search for ingredients or items, Wynndata is the best.

i feel like i would've enjoyed wynncraft a lot less had i followed this guide for my first playthrough - why would you ever suggest tryhard mob grinding over the actual content of the game (quests) to a brand new player?

internet speed will rarely be the cause of lag, unless it's exceptionally slow

 

This guide is well-made, but overall I personally think it seems far better suited for your 2nd (and subsequent) playthroughs. I personally strongly disagree with powerleveling: once you've powerleveled, what even is the content you have to do? Raids, hunted mode, professions, and anything else in the endgame honestly doesn't stack up to the dozens of hours of at-level quests, dungeons, and discoveries you'll experience if you play through the game at a slower pace. Sure, quests made be time-consuming, but they are honestly what makes the server special in my eyes
I also highly disagree with using Wynntils for the first ten or so hours of gameplay; I think players need to better understand the base game so they can more easily tell if an issue is from the server itself or the mod. I also don't think there should be a specific class recommended to newcomers, as such a thing is subjective and all classes have their strengths and weaknesses during a playthrough.
In the end though these are all just my personal thoughts on this, I feel like everyone has their own idea on an optimal first playthrough should be and what makes Wynn stand out for a beginner.

 

I agree, for example I think saying quests are time consuming will make new players avoid them, but quests is the main part of Wynn and can contribute with around 60% of all the xp you will need between 1-105 so quests are an essential part of the game. (plus my guides are better wah, lol). No but seriously, when it comes to Wynntils, it is a mod that many people have a use for, but you need to first have time to learn all of wynns gui before taking on the expanded wynntils one. Overall the first playthrough should be focused on quests, exploration and limited grind and just enjoying the experience of wynn.

! I understand your point. Maybe because of the demographic in my area and my experience, I've come up with this guide. I live in a different country, it might be very different. At least in my area, my friends prefer to ignore the dialogue of the quests, seeing that they only care for XPs and rewards, that's why I focused my guide for a quick leveling, especially if all the guides in the forums and youtube are the same and unable to meet with players' interest.
