Website & Forums An "Item Suggestion" Category

Basically, there are some stuff that we should agree upon.

1. Endgame players are getting bored and quitting due to no endgame content
2. Item team is having a hard time agreeing upon items or making items
3. We are getting new items really rarely.

There are some stuff endgame players enjoy. Making new builds, experimenting with stuff, having pleasure soloing the dungeons/raids, guild warring. All of them require new builds and new items to brainstorm with.


I think there could be a category in wynncraft forums where people would share their item ideas (not just something like "add new air wep lol", but more like with every single stat, id included by the player.)

Maybe they would make it with wynnbuilder, maybe they would just type all stats one by one, maybe using paint/photoshop, maybe using Wynndata. Players would make the items and People from item team would either accept or deny the items. Of course not all of the threads would get replied to, just like bug reports/suggestions.

Not only it would make it possible to add new items to the game, it would also let the Item Team rest and get comfortable.

Maybe some items would be unbalanced but the idea would be good, so item team would work on that. Maybe some items are PERFECTLY PERFECT, so they would straight away add them. It would also let "creative" players add items as well. I am sure there are many of you that have great item ideas yet do not have anyone to share with, or something.

I'm not objecting this idea - I'm simply letting it be known that the Atlas Inc Discord has a channel for suggesting/brainstorming item ideas and some item makers pay close attention to it so feel free to pop over there :)

It might be good but i don't think it's going to be implemented because there would be too many item suggestions and imo most majority of them would be like
"disrupting the balance of other items in the game", "literally unnecessary"
Of course there is going to be players who knows the item relations well and they can suggest PERFECTLY PERFECT items for the game but..
if they are going to work for creating new items for the game they can always apply and become a member of the item team. Imo it won't change anything

becoming an IM is not easy and you can't just apply whenever you like. Applications are closed until one of the IMs is let go or resigns.

 

??? the discord is open to basically anyone who wants to join

anyway, although a category like this would be cool, i don't see it being used enough to actually warrant being given its own category, and even then, almost all other item related suggestions/questions can go just into the item team thread itself

 

It would be a great idea but I think that sorting out the suggestions that would break the balance of the game would take a long time, even if the players posting those suggestions wouldn't really see that it would break some parts of the game. Adding new items in a game as developped as this one looks like a nightmare and having suggestions could help them get some ideas as long as the forum section doesn't get spammed with "make this dagger one shot everything" (that's just the most extreme case, these posts could totally never exist at all)
