Wynn has been doing a lot lately to counter inventory clutter. In 1.19, they added the Ingredient Pouch, which makes killing mobs and seeing your inventory fill up with profession stuff a lot less painful (AND actually good for casual players since unwanted ingredients can be auto-sold from there). Recently, they added Emerald Pouches to stop dropped emeralds from filling players inventories. But there are still 2 massive issues with inventory clutter:

    1: Unidentified items
    2: Normal items

Unidentified items are really annoying to have to constantly throw out of your inventory when you're grinding and then inevitably pick up again by accident, so I personally think you should have a garbage can in your inventory for getting rid of these items (can't get rid of itemlocked items or quest items no matter how hard you try). But that's not the focus of this suggestion. I'm focusing on Normal items.

Normal items are completely useless to many players. They drop constantly from mobs and don't stack, and have terrible IDs (just a heath boost or certain amount of normal damage). They still drop in the lategame, even though players will have builds and stuff by that stage. There is only 1 plausible reason that they exist:

    Recovery.

Let's say some dude decides he's gonna take all of his emeralds, his best armor and his best weapons out, and go do some stuff in Olux. He's then told to go do something IRL, so he leaves his account in Olux. When he comes back, he has 0 soul points, a crappy weapon and his horse if he had one. No armor, no emeralds, no nothing. He does the first natural thing which is to complain and ask for a refund on the forums, but then goes to get new stuff. With his crappy weapon, he goes and kills some mobs to get normal items. Now he has gear to get new stuff with.

This is all well and good, but it's annoying when you don't need that extra gear. I have a couple of solutions:

1: Make normal items only drop when you have low soul points (0-6) (not including low level normal items since they're kinda useful in the super early game)

2: Make them not drop at all but instead be sold at a low price by armor/weapon merchants (That way our guy we envisioned can get his stuff back by getting some emeralds from mobs to buy the armor instead. It would be harder to recover but it would be less inconvenient for people who don't need it.

I have to disagree with this - normal items have an important function as a source of scrap that costs no emeralds, and making them more conditional might do more harm than good.
