Game Design small raid feedback

    Aight so ive been doing raids for awhile. during their beginning they needed major buffs/nerfs and they did receive a large amount. a major ty to the CT who listened to the feedback and help, it made the raids alot more enjoyable and fun. However continuing with the different raids thru different classes/ play styles i see some issues that can be cleared up. ill go thru each raid differently. reminder this is just my opinion.

    First off for all raids ive seen a MAJOR inconsistency.
    from my view parties with 50%> mythic users can cleave thru raids and its almost not a challenge whatsoever(i use a mythic so im not biased plz dont murk me), however parties with 50%> legendary users its like doom on expert mode.

    I feel like a system that lowers/increases the difficulty by what type of weapons players are using may help people not be as frustrated when they cant do enough dmg/take to much dmg/ feel outclassed by mythics.

    Maybe a difficulty scaler for parties? maybe make it toggleable for players as well. so players can say we want harder than normal with more rewards but higher chance of failure, or easier with less rewards but higher chance of winning. This could help alot of casuals enjoy raids without going KoHTankgod set

    NOTG(nest of the grootslang)
    Overall very great intro to raids, easy to understand and not too hard. I would say its very hard at lvl but you almost always play with higher lvls so they help out a ton.

    The boss is good but gets very boring since its the same fight 5 times, none the less still a good fight.

    The rewards are awesome and are good for all lvls, +1 in my book :D

    NoL(Nexus of Light)
    thee best raid IMO (totally not a lore simp). the buffs are great, the rooms are really fun, and the boss is very memorable, however still some issues.

    NoL is negelcted between TCC and notg because of its enormous 1shot tendencies. The raid likes to insta kill players alot and this causes alot of turmoil and anger within parties. i have been angry from it and seen players use pots, scrolls, and gear made for tanking and still die instantly (they might have been too passive about it so some fault on their end), and just ragequit. However i have an idea for all raids that may help fix this (more abt it later). also its not liked because compared to the others its much harder to get to, no tp scrolls means 3-4 min journeys just to get there.

    besides the 1shots i dont see many issues. I will say that getting blocked when on the cloud rooms and also being heavily dmged in the tower accession room is pretty sad but just my opinion idk what others think of those rooms.

    BOSS-
    something i hear alot is that players who are solo and get crystalized is really stupid. IMO it should remove crystallization if its 1 player left.

    also the room has a chance to bug a have 2 blood ruins, meaning half the arena is unusable. just a bug tho not a raid issue (just wanted to mention it), another thing i hear from people with weaker pcs is how there are too many useless mobs in the area. there are just tons and tons of unneeded mobs that lag and crash ppl, my friend with a potato pc wont do NoL bc of that reason (he has particles off btw, but his pc is a s s)

    TCC(The canyon colossus)
    TCC is an awesome raid, its great for the area and is very pleasing to look at while fighting, the boss is also super epic since you feel like you're fighting a mountain(and you are).

    However some issues i see and hear from are:
    room 1-lava room, the puzzle is great and a good way to promote teamwork, but the mobs are too strong. they can easily 1shot, have strong CCI and large HP pools, they are also fast. Mind you, you fight on a strip of land so dodging is very hard. IMO they need a nerf of some kind, dmg reduction or hp reduction, they should either be fast kills but very high dmg OR low dmg very hard kills.

    room 1-multi-room(the one with all the puzzles)
    best starter room imo, its really fun and no issues at all :DD

    room 2-buttons
    honestly not bad just hard for certain classes like shaman since they have to stand still and get boned really fast. otherwise good room


    room 2 - canyon maze
    good room as well, its had deserved nerfs and the mobs arnt the issues, normally its the ghost players. they can get stuck if they die and are unable to get to the end. Maybe put the ghost with the sky flying person? or have them always tp to the living players? other than that good room

    room 3-platfrom rooms
    no issues was nerfed and is good :D

    room -3 the golems
    good room i feel like the golems seem to have a bit too much hp or are too fast? i always get swarmed nonmatter the class i play, maybe just turn down the mob spawns by like 4%.
    Edit: from what ive seen someone did change this (there are alot less mobs spawning) and now its 10x better, ty very much <3

    BOSS-
    The boss is absolutely awesome BUT there's an issue. not with the boss itself(well sorta) but more with certain builds and weapons.
    currently collapse, toxo, and aftershock are devastating for this boss. they kill so quickly when using stonewalker its honestly nuts. I dont wanna say nerf them(the weaps) bc alot of ppl will b mad at me, BUT there is still an op presence with these weapons and its causes a lack of challenge with the boss.

    Another issue i frequently hear is when both "chosen" players are killed the raid is instantly ruined because the raid cannot be completed, instead if a chosen dies a new player should be picked.

    Raid buffs-
    some changes id like to see is guardian going back to giant 3, using a dex build and not being able to use intrp 1 bc of guardian and being a glass canon. Also makes giant a bit strong.


    New stuff-

    Revives, this sounds really stupid but please keep an open mind. Since players die alot in raids a good way to give a more forgiving game without losing difficulty is by adding revives. Once a player is "killed" they will b put in a sitting position or a sleeping position(either works), other living players have 7 seconds to shift over them, if nothing happens they die. if a living player shift for 3 seconds that downed player will be brought back with 20% hp. however a player can be revived only once. otherwise this would b way op.


    Overall raids are a hard to balance system because they are complex in design. However i hope some of theses ideas and feedback can help make raids more enjoyable and overall more fun for all players.

    Yep, I'll say something.

    The raid bugs are annoying; NotG timer, Blindness; RoL double rune / insta kills / launchers not powerful enough; CC is algoods.

    But there is a large problem in the disparity between the effectiveness of mythic and non-mythic weapons. I'm proposing that mythic weapons are just as effective as uniques, it's just that mythics have more extreme + and - IDs, whereas uniques have less extreme IDs. In it's current state I can't see a party of 5 o' clock home from workers or anyone who just plays an hour or 2 a week having a chance without being carried.

    It's the only mechanic in the game that actually requires more than one person to deal with.
    That's, not an issue when you considered it's designed to be played by more the one person.
    Would you rather it be like the other two raids? you auto fail when one player is left.
    I would rather have an actual mechanic that requires communication.

    Yes it is a good mechanic, that wasnt my point. My point is its a crap mechanic when your the only player trying to clutch the raid, the raid dosnt fail untill all players have died durring a bossfight, I think thats to make it more forgiving if u die from the boss. My point was people shouldn't get crystilized when its 1 dude, then theres nothing u can do and u just have to wait till u die, its not fun nor good. If its 2 or more ppl its a great mechanic

    Or you could auto-kill if the last player get crystalised.
    Gives you a chance and doesn't make you wait when you are unlucky

    doing nol was borderline impossible until I got a new laptop because of how laggy it was
