Dungeons have some really powerful loot. If you haven't been running dungeons then that could be a fun way to get some better gear. If you have some spare emeralds you could look on the Trade Market for accessories and other gear around your level.

If u want a specific set for your lvl adventurers set is really good. It’s obtained by just killing mobs from around lvl 25-30 or looting chests in areas with them (or just bought on the trade market)
Also throughout the game one set that is good is morph. Basically each armor piece is a dif lvl (ring 1 at 12, boots at 25, ring 2 at 37, pants at 50, necklace at 62, chestplate at 75, bracelet at 87, helmet at 100) and having multiple pieces on gives you a bonus, so it’s really good and cheap. Plus it scales well with your level, as you can use some pieces and fill in the higher leveled ones with random stuff.
Keep in mind though it’s not best possible thing as getting a specific build is better, but it is still good enough to solo the whole game.
Also for weapons just do what the person above said and do dungeons or browse legendaries on the trade market.

Basically set armors (like morph and adventurers set) have something special
Basically when u have 2 or more pieces of it on? You get a bonus. The bonus gets better the more u put on.
For all 4 adventurers set pieces u get
    2/4 mr
    25% spell dmg
    25% main attack dmg
    50% xp bonus
    30% loot bonus
    50% walk speed
    175 health
    50% soul point regen
On top of the base stats of the armor

You could get adventurers set but also keep in mind you will outgrow it very soon
Like at lvl 40 it starts to get worse and it’s not good anymore from like 40-45 I’d say.
The thing about earlier lvls is you outgrow things very fast. So if you think you need the boost get it if ur doing fine just use random pieces for now and get maybe morph or smth soon
Also in general this guide is pretty good: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/meta-gear-for-leveling.275840/
It has some good stuff and I can say for sure the weapons are good for the classes I’ve tried (archer to max lvl and mage and assassin to 75) and the morph stuff is very good, as the stuff from 45-100 is what I used all 3 times (haven’t tried the non morph sets, tho I’m sure they r good)

Adventurer's Set is very useful for starters but you'll start to outgrow it once you hit 40 or so. As for the dagger, Hashr Claw is generally the best but considering it got nerfed a bit and costs 6 SST runs Influence might be a better choice. As for your friend he should get Thunderbolt at 42 or do the boss altar Sundown Canyon for Deadeye. A decent alternative is Chaser from SST which he'll be able to use for walkspeed all the way until he unlocks Gale's Force, but it also costs 6 SST runs and that dungeon is pure pain.
