Cherry bomb On Grimtrap?

Last time i saw a very cool combination of using grimtrap with the "Cherry Bomb" item ID. and i actually thought what if Grimtrap had the "Cherry Bomb" ID but on the weapon, And yes... I know Conspirator's Trickpockets is a thing but i feel like Grimtrap should have the Cherry Bomb item ID because Grimtrap has the -3 Smokebomb cost which is very cool, Now i will explain why: As you know another mythic weapons have a special item ID that makes them actually good, for example: Weathered, Weathered has the "Roving Assassin" item ID which is super epic. And when you think about that the item ID is the best thing in the weathered weapon imagine weathered without the Roving Assassin item ID.

This is why i think the "Cherry Bomb" item ID can actually make Grimtrap a better weapon.

 

Regardless of whether I agree or disagree with Cherry bomb major ID being on Grimtrap, you cannot say "Weathered is shit without its major ID therefore Grimtrap should get a major ID"

Going to need some better arguments here for example you could mention damage comparisons between mythic and legendary daggers before and after Major ID addition if you want to sway people to your side. Also remember that not every item is meant to be amazing and cool in every aspect, there has to be some downsides.

 

Yeah true, but i didn't meant to say that if weathered has the item ID then they have to add something to grimtrap i just meant to say that grimtrap has the - smokebomb cost and the "Cherry Bomb" item ID is pretty good with it.

 

Potentially a base dmg nerf in addition to the major id to offset legging slot.
Would provide the dagger with a slightly more unique play style than currently. (Obvsly cherry bomb is currently an optional thing but it would be interesting to consider a dagger with forced lower spin dmg and higher smoke bomb dmg than usual). May also need a slight life steal reduction to offset the increased potential hp on grim builds but that greatly depends on if a overall damage increase is significant or not compared to current non trickpockets grimtrap builds.

Grimpockets already exists and is a good playstyle. Adding this would require some nerfs to the weapon, which would make it less viable on non-grimpockets builds and would limit Grimtrap's usage more towards only one playstyle, which would be a bad change in my opinion.
