Just some bg knowledge: This is my first post on Wynn forums, and I've been a member of this community for ~two years (have played on and off). Skip to bold if you don't care about background knowledge.

    Take this post lightly.

For a fantasy MMORPG, I think that it lacks uniqueness when it comes to earning the strongest possible gear - i.e. mythics (excluding craftables). Lootrunning is a standard, and anyone can get their hands on a mythic with enough effort - let alone tedious effort(10+ hours of lootrunning using Wynntils for a loot run and following that exact path, and for those who truly enjoy grinding, this can be a 10hrs / 7 day a week thing).

Ultimately, this is what MMORPG is at its core. However, as of now, the most popular method (as aforementioned) is lootrunning, and the same chests that can give you commons - fables can also give you mythics (at a very low chance). After a while, this gets tedious, encountering the same mobs, fighting the same 'bosses'. Most can clear, if not run through it pretty fast, so the lootrunning - based end game gets rather boring quickly.

SKIP TO HERE IF YOU WANT TO IGNORE THE BACKGROUND INFO:

Of course, Wynncraft is limited by minecraft - and it does a superb job at creating a fun MMORPG in something like minecraft. To take a look at other MMORPGS, there's typically a system in which defeating powerful bosses reward you with equally powerful gear. However, some people enjoy the laid-backness of speed lootrunning, so I do not have any complaints within. Rather, I take my complaints of the monotony and suggests a new class of gear: "Sins"

Based on the 7 deadly sins, this trope comes up often everywhere. From media -> MMORPGS, yet it's a fun and cool concept no matter how many times you encounter it.

To explain: "Sins" are a set of 7 weapons that have no inherent class trait. Instead, the wielder's class transforms it into said weapon. (I.e., if a hunter equipped the "Sin of Wrath", it would transform into the "Sin's Bow of Wrath", and etc).

    A more in depth description:
    • The weapon scales with your level, and thus, even a level 1 player could theoretically yield such a weapon.
    • The weapon cannot be bought, traded, or sold. (*unsure)
    • The wielder of the weapon cannot wield any other weapons(explained with the stats)
    • The wielder of the weapon cannot store, stash, or 'hide' the weapon in one's bank, in other words, it must be in your inventory at all times.
    • Upon death, the wielder of the weapon loses a 'hitpoint'. Upon the second death, the weapon disappears from your inventory and returns to the chamber in which it is kept, respawning the boss that protects it. Nothing will restore a hitpoint on your weapon.
    • The weapon cannot be moved across classes(since bank transfers are disabled)
    • 5 ingame days without the weapon's usage on an enemy of equal levelling or higher, will also return it to the chamber.
    • Each weapon has an ability.
    • Because the weapon adapts to the class of the user, it is preferable to grind in a location for a shard that contains the stats of the weapon you want. For example, perhaps I am playing mage and looking for mana steal, I would grind shards in a location that gives a "Sin" with manasteal ID.
    • Considering these are "sin's", it would make sense by the lore for them to have negatives.
    • The weapon is not rolled. In other words, you do not roll stats for this weapon.

Furthermore, there is only ONE set of these weapons. In other words, across the entire playerbase, only 7 people can wield the weapon. (This may be a controversial take, yet hear me out). The weapon cannot be obtained by regular means. Instead, everytime you kill a mob(the chances scale with their respective levels. Level 1-10mobs: 0.00001, Level 11-20mobs: 0.0001, Level 21-30mobs: 0.001, Level 31-40mobs: 0.01, Level 41-50mobs: 0.02, Level 51-60mobs: 0.03, and so forth), they have a chance to drop a "Shard". Activating said shard will teleport you into a series of mazes, puzzles, quests, and a final boss, (Enter sin name, i.e. Wrath) I have not thought past this point, but perhaps the map could be split into 7, such that killing a mob in different sectors gives a different shard type, for each weapon.
