Mage/Dark Wizard First Ever Build... Constructive Criticism Please?

i don't mean to post in the class build section so much, but i've tried making my first ever build. it looks good to me, but if anyone sees any way i can improve it i'd be happy to hear. also, if it's bad please tell me why & how to make it not suck. (lol idk what i'm doing)

thank you! i'm not particularly looking to do a TON of dmg, just enough that it doesn't take ages to solo stuff at level if need be. i would use your build at lvl 93 if i didn't have a distaste for slow attack speeds (even tho i don't rly aim for melee dmg i hit with my wand a lot while spamming spells lol). i'm not really sure what i'm going for really, just a nice ehp + mana regen spell spam sorta thing, i guess.

aaaaand i've been using morph for awhile now, and even tho it does work it only does ~5-6k w my current wand. i might look for a new one & see how that goes tho. feedback appreciated ^^

 

Just wanted to tell you that you should not sell your morph set, the reason being that you can use it for potential future classes that u level, and at level 103 there is a really good build using full morph and a wand called the nothing

 

yes no worries! the morph set i have is all 80%+ so i don't plan on selling it :) ty tho

 

the slow (preferably super slow) attack speed is so that you could charge your powder special faster and proc mana steal easier

 

ah :o how does that charge the special faster? i don't really know how everything works in detail yet (like i don't rly understand mana/life steal fully tbh), so this is a start i guess. slow attack speed might be something that i have to get used to

 

With the slower attckspeeds you have a higher chance to proc mana steal or life steal to compensate for the fact that you hit slower, and you require less hits to charge the powder special. This generally makes it easier to charge/proc since ur not gonna melee that much anyway since your build is spell focused.

 

oh! so life/mana steal isn't a guaranteed thing when you hit a mob, it only happens sometimes & u have a higher chance for it to activate w a slower attack speed? i think i get it (maybe). i have another question tho, about negative life/mana steal: i won't actually lose health/mana unless i melee a mob right? or does it activate when i hit mobs with spells too? (idk if this makes sense but i'm doing my best here ok)

 

spells don't activate steals, unless you're warrior.
