Just Lost Some Items From A Quest(rol5)

Just here to complain about losing some uth runes and my double vision.

So basically, I finished rol5 and when it gave me my loot, I had a full inventory. The game said my items were on the floor but like always, they weren’t. At that point I wasn’t too worried because most quest items that don’t drop as items on the ground as items can be gotten back with ./fixquests. The command didn’t work though and I lost them. Normally when you receive items you can’t talk to the npc with a full inventory but I didn’t talk to an NPC to finish the quest.

My suggestion is to make rol5 and other quests like it that just drop the items on you, not. Instead, have them work like most quests do and make you talk to an npc to complete it. The npc shouldn’t give the items to players with full inventories.

Also, when I get a msg telling me my items were dropped on the ground, can they please actually be there?

 

this sorta thing is already in place with quests like "Death Whistle", where you literally cannot complete the quest if your inventory is too full

not sure why its not something consistent across all quests, especially those as integral to the game as rol

 

The items weren’t that important as none of them were un-tradable and I can buy them back at anytime and I’m pretty sure they weren’t needed for any future quests. It was just a little saddening when I learned a good roll could be sold for a hundred thousand+, which might not be much for others, but is a ton for me.

But yes, it is a little confusing why some quests prevent you from finishing with a full inventory while others don’t. It would seem pretty easy to replicate it on all quests if you already have one that does, but hey, what do I know?

 

even shitty double visions go for a decent bit, it works great in some builds so yeah i feel your pain
