    Original thread made by @DogeTennant
So in DogeTennant's thread, he explains that important characters like Aledar and Tasim should be reused more so we get a deeper connection with them. I really like the idea, and since Aledar and Tasim are pretty important AND are the first people you meet, I think they should be expanded on. So here are 2 suggestions to do so.

    1. Make world events where one of the two are included
Basically, there would be events within the world where either Aledar or Tasim would walk up to you and explain stuff about the area. For example, you could stand outside the Lion Liar and Tasim could walk up say:
Tasim: "Oh hello (player)! Heading to Almuj as well?"
Tasim: "See that giant cave over there? It's the Lion Lair, the largest cave in Wynn!"
Tasim: "It's said to hold valuable treasures, but is guarded by powerful lions and crazed tamers."
Tasim: "Unless your crazy for gold and glory, I wouldn't go in there yet. But if you are, knock yourself out! But not literally though."

    2. Make/edit quests starring Aledar and/or Tasim
This was one of the ideas DogeTennant made. For some unknown reason, I really think Tasim is obsessed with finding his original Fruman life even though there's no proof for that. So I think he could be a subject in Recover the Past, maybe replacing Reynaud, and can also be the main star in a Fruma questline should it come out. For Aledar, I feel like he is more of the mercenary type, so he could have his own quests in the mesa and/or the ocean.

Anyway those were my ideas! Criticism is appreciated.

The problem is that having Aledar or Tasim appear throughout the game ruins the impact of an NPC who appeared much earlier coming up in alate game quest. Also, having Tasim in a Fruma quest would probably be imtented by Tasim, so as to not repeat an earlier event, which would become much less impactful.

I don't like the idea of Aledar and Tasim being featured more, they should be in lategame major quests and that's it. It's similar to meeting Chef Hamsey again in the Sky Islands, after having helped him when you first started the game. It makes the player remember when the server was simpler to them; when they were only learning how to play. Aledar is done now, and I think Tasim should be in the Fruma intro quest.

I think it would be more impactful if the characters in lategame quests had an emotional impact because they were well written and a companion over the course of the game, rather than just relying on nostalgia to make you care

i do think aledar and taism should be used more since like everyone forget abt them/hates them bc tutorial. however i think they should only appear as random occurrences. not direct quests. this keeps the player interested in their life without being too engaged with it.

I do think it would be nice to have them as sort of main characters. Of course, to keep consistency, they would only appear in say Almuj when the player character is between level 30-40. They'd have some misc. things to say to you like the other npcs, then when you reach level 40 they disappear and reappear in Nesaak/Llevigar, etc.

Having quests with them is fine in my opinion because, since they're introduced in the tutorial, we're made to believe that they're important characters to the story. However, we only see Aledar when we're level 100+. It is comparable to Chef Hamsey, though Hamsey isn't at all the same as Tasim and Aledar; Hamsey doesn't travel with us, fight with us. He merely talks to you and gives you a fetch quest, not very memorable.

If Wynn is ever to have a main quest line, Aledar and Tasim would be the key to guiding the player through the story. Perhaps a quest every 20 levels is enough.

maybe they could be featured in Eldritch Outlook? like there before the boss room, all in really stacked gear and stuff and u have a little catch-up, then they could give u like some kinda one-use item that helps in the boss fight? like maybe a throwable item that 'blinds' the eye for 5 secs or summat? would be cool if it was like hinted at that they experienced a similar journey to the player and ended up in the same place eventually.

Uhh... I'd advise you to recall how we got to the Eldritch Outlook in the first place...

Remember that the original plan is to kill you, Aledar wouldn't do that if he'd been with you across your entire journey
