World New Island: Mirage Island

In Pokemon, there is an island called ''Mirage island''. It changes every day, and honestly I feel this could be cool in Wynn

Mirage island would replace this island (note that this island would be one of the mirages)



Every IRL day, it would change its layout, serving as somewhat of a daily task for later -game players

Here's some ideas for it (will explain):
Ultimate potato lair
Arena island
Mythic-roll island
Utter ridiculousness
Christmas village island
Spooky island

Ultimate potato lair:
Would be like the potato stash but bigger. Your objective would be to sneak through it, similarly to the Yiga Clan lair from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. At the end, there is an ''Ultimate golden potato'' that can be sold at Bremminglar in exchange for a Lighthouse Charm (to be explained later)

Arena island:
A round island with a colosseum in the middle. Upon stepping in, a bossfight would be initiated against one member of a selection of sea-themed bosses. When the boss is defeated, you get a Lighthouse Charm

Mythic-roll island:
This island only appears on the first day of every month. It is a hill with a chest on top, which, when interacted with, opens up a roll GUI. There is a 5% chance to get a mythic from it, and a 95% chance to get a Lighthouse Charm

Utter ridiculousness: Only appears on April Fools day. It's like Shattered Minds but in island form. There is a puzzle to get a Lighthouse Charm

Christmas Village island: Only appears on Christmas Day, if the Wynnter fair has been active that year. If it has, you can trade in gifts for Lighthouse Charms (25 gifts per charm, cap of 5 charms.)

Spooky island: Only appears on Halloween. There's a big Halloween fair on the island and you can do tasks there to get a Lighthouse Charm



To coincide with this, there would be a new level 75 quest called ''Misty Mirages'' on this island:


There would be a new lighthouse on top of the large island, and Seaskipper would sell boat passes to it. The quest would revolve around the lighthouse being out of order and a charm being needed to fix it, and the lighthouse is needed as the ocean is currently very misty and strange mirages are being reported.

After the quest is done, you can keep trading the charms in for prizes. These would include:

5 charms for 3 Tier 5 powders
A certain amount of weapons that I cannot be bothered to create
1 LE for 5 charms (may need better balancing)
Some other stuff

Very poggers idea also it adds some really cool mechanics that could get alot of people reinterested in the ocean. good post +1

 

Maybe a smaller chance to get mythics and a lower amount of ems from trading in charms, but apart from that great suggestion.

 

This is a very cool idea, but I wonder how much lag this is going to produce. If we can get past the lag, this is a very possible idea.

 

I mean, it’s a small island changing between long intervals, so I don’t think lag would be a problem

 

This looks hella cool! It should be added one of the next updates.

 

Idea very awsome, I also should note that the existance of this island can be tided to specific lines the Seaskipper says:

• Seaskipper Captain: I've been sailin' for years, I know every island in the sea like the back of my hand.
• Seaskipper Captain: But I think my eyes must be playin' tricks on me lately. Because I swear, the western mountains moved.
• Seaskipper Captain: Maybe I'm just startin' to get a bit old, but I could've sworn they were much closer not long ago.
• Seaskipper Captain: On the bright side, they do look a lot more beautiful than I remember.

This was a reference to the 1.15 Wynnter update, because the Western ocean mountains were moved to make room for Corkus. It has no lore implications, it's just a joke.

You get it once a month, I say it's pretty justified
Plus, you can get better odds from a mere 6 Forgery Chest runs, which you could probably do about 200 of per month meaning that this is an extra bonus

Awesome idea! I SERIOUSLY hope this is added, although with more variations!

 

Really nice idea and could add some new life into the ocean. Might turn into somewhat of a daily grind though, so possibly a high amount of random islands being cycled through, so people don't get too bored (they wouldn't be completely different, just very slightly different builds and a different puzzle each day).

 

hmm now seems like a good time to revive this thread since everybody is suddenly obsessed with the ocean

 

People can use alts to get around this

 

Great Idea Dude I Hope They Add It To The Game.

 

Marginally ok idea, I don't like it personally and I don't think it would be a necessary addition. There are a few issues with it:

- What happens if you log off on the island and the next time you log back on it's changed
- There should be other way to get charms than purchasing them, especially as I believe a Tier 5 powder is worth more than 20 eb (but I could be a bit outdated here!!)
- The mythic island chest is absurdly pointless and exploitable as you'd only have it once per month and you either get an overly generous reward (the mythic) or essentially 12.5eb which isn't great (1 charm is roughly 12.5eb if 5 is 1le)

All in all, I dislike the idea but thank you for sharing anyway :)

Maybe it should just not be a feature? If it was just 1% and could only be used on 1 character you'd have to wait for over 8 years on average to get 1 mythic so either way it's awful

2. ok if yor on island when u log off and then u get back on at a different time, island is diffrent, simply have the player tped to a setspawn of that island(asy to do) or have them tp to selchar (also easy)
1. i agree the mythic stuff is ehhhh but rn besides lootruning and fogery there is no other way to close that skill gap. Legendaries are severly outpowered vs good mythic builds. i know only a couple legendary builds that even can compete with mythics. So there needs to be some way to get mythics reliably (not running forgery who hates humans).
yee tier 5 powders r worth more than 20 eb, its currently like 40ish eb?
i like the idea of trading charms 4 money. its alot like tempo town and is better for getting a small amount of le easily (not having to do dumb grindy work (cough cough mobs hair lol)
