Game Mechanics Gathering Exclusive Items

Basically, along with the usual materials, you have a 1% chance of getting proffing exclusive items, which can be very powerful. This would encourage people to do professions, which most players won’t do for the grind and low rewards. Exclusive items would change the higher level fishing materials you are fishing, but some of them scale.
Since I wrote this on an Ipad I’ll make equipment later, but here are consumables you can get:

Blow Fish: A throwable item which explodes in a 3x3 radius, stunning nearby enemies but doing no damage. Ineffective on bosses. Scales with level and can be got from Gudgeons and above.

Reaper Pick: A level scaling pickaxe that is slightly slower than a conventional pickaxe but gives you twice the materials/exp. Can be gotten from Icefish and above.

Mahogany Flame: Summons a small campfire that deals minor damage to non boss mobs and gives nearby players resistance I. Can get got from jungle wood and above.

Power Crystal: Basically a rainbow skill pot at 1/5 the power of individual pots. Can be found from gold and above.

Slingroot: Summons a root that, after 3 seconds, yeets the nearest enemy out of existence (basically an instant kill). Does not work on bosses and only gives half exp. Has a 30 second cooldown between other uses. Can be found from Decay Roots and above.

Wouldn’t this make fishing superior to the other professions?

 

If it does then this can be implemented onto other proffesions

Theoretically you can gather 50 things (which takes like 10/20 mins) and get all these items.
Seems a bit too easy

 

yes, but as can be seen by wars and tomes, people will cry about it when stuff are exclusive to one activity on Wynn

 

what would be the point in movement spells if you can just cut down a few trees and then BLJ across the map with a root

 

Will change that to 1% then. Also, there are going to be way more, these are just examples.

This one is solo, so you don’t need friends to get the items. Also, tomes don’t even impact the game that much, unless they are gathering tomes.

I was thinking of it as a budget tp scroll, but if that’s the case I’ll just change it.

 

no what I mean is, warring for the guild tomes being the only way to get them makes many ppl angry because its an exclusive feature, go find out why because after 5 months I still dont understand why, but let it be known that some people dislike items that are obtained through only one activity somehow :/

 

Not a terribly large fan, I don't like gathering-exclusive things/being forced to do profs for quests and tome slots already :/

 

these probably wouldn't be untradeable, so they could just be bought if you wanted some, unlike the guild tomes
