Game Mechanics Should Tools Be Tradeable?

    I believe tools should be untradable in the trade market as buying tools straight up defeats the purpose of getting them from merchants and dungeons.Instead I believe there should be an upgrading system .It would work out this way,you would go to a dungeon or a tool merchant who would let you buy tools and later on upgrade them to levels that would match the gathering levels required to get materials in that area for a small price ,either emeralds ir other items that you would need to search for, which would make the game more interesting.This should mainly apply to higher level tools as those usually pop up in the trade.market more .What do you guys think,tell me your thoughs.

    Ps,I know it is nice being able to get all your tools easily but sometimes a small but easy challenge is fun

    While I agree I also don't like this suggestion cuz I'm too lazy to run dungeons for tools and I'd rather just buy them off of tm lol

    I understand the convinience of being able to buy tools from tm but this change would only be for higher tiers and you can just go to a tool merchant and either upgrqde or downgrade your old tool with some emeralds or find 2 items to use as a second option if you don't wanna spend emeralds

    No. This makes the game infinitely less accessible.

    To put it simply; I don't have a great computer. Most people I know don't. I cannot do Fallen Factory twelve times to get all the tools when I average three frames per second with 600 ping. Professions are the least intensive part of the game (that is why I play them). They're relaxing, I can keep good performance, it's just nice to do.
    You know what isn't relaxing? The god damn Eye. That's not relaxing. My blood pressure, graphics card, and router (in that order) do not need that kind of stress when I just want to farm some sorghum.

    The late game is already less accessible for people (more complex scripts, more lethal mobs, more armorstands, more NPCs). Forcing me or other late-game professions players to do dungeons that aren't accessible will drive people away from professions, partially because some people just can't, partially because it ruins the relaxed vibe of professions to do a thirty minute dungeon multiple times over.

    While I agree in principle, the last thing professions need is even more grinding being required. Also, this is useful if you want to recoup some of the cost of getting the tools in the first place.

    Absolutly not. Proffesions are already extremly grindy as is. We do not need more grinding for an already extremly time comsuming activity. The tools on the TM are fine as is rn since someone still has to go out run the dungeons and get the tools to then sell. Overall both people benfit. the buyer gets the tools. the tool seller gets alot of money (tier 12 tools can go upwards of 2-6 le)

    Like others said, I really do not think this is a viable idea. I think many people would rather spend money to buy the tools than run the dungeons themselves.

    Man if that's the case time for me to buy 100s of t12 tools and sell them for no profit :)

    If the tools where sold or upgraded (for a non dungeon price) by tool merchants in a respective area then I could see why they should be untradeable, but I'm personally not really looking to run galleons graveyard at level 100 (seeing how most put professions off till the late game) 5 times so I can get the next tool level. For that reason i think the trade market a fair compromise.

    People shouldn't be forced to do dungeons if all they want is to grind gathering
