I think the donkey appearance is pretty cool. But wouldn't it be neat if it gave a little bonus in addition to looking nice?

How about in addition to the cosmetic change, the donkey has stats that are +5 higher than your horse's current stats (e.g. I have a max, non-dungeon boosted, chestnut at 30 levels, and if I were to get the donkey it would be at 35 speed/jump).

Now this brings up a problem: people spamming their saddles to get the donkey and its upgraded stats. Simple solution! Make the donkey rarer. Or maybe create a third, rare super horse. Just so it's a little treat on occasion, but people still have to work to breed/buy horses at the end of the day.

 

I don't think donkeys should have any bonuses, the whole point of them is that they're a funny easter egg
