Basically, make some quests and dungeons, and a set level required to enter other areas.
This is so the game's story makes more sense. This would also make new players think they are doing something, and encourage them to keep playing. It will also stop players from accidentally entering high level areas that are next to low level areas, like Nessak or Time Valley.
When you complete all the requirements to unlock an area, a message would appear in chat. It would look something like this:
"It seems the people of this area don't need anymore help. Maybe you should travel to [area] to see if anyone needs assistance there..."
When you haven't unlocked the area, a message like this would appear:
"The monsters here seem to strong to handle. Maybe you should train up before entering."
Then it would display required quests you haven't done yet.
Emerald Trail, Maltic Plains, and Nivla Forest will already be unlocked.
Level 10, Decrepit Sewers, Enzan's Brother, Cook Assistant, Poisoning the Pest, and Infested Plants to unlock Detlas Suburbs.

Level 20, Infested Pit, Mushroom Man, Potion Making, and having started Sayleros Brother to unlock Nemract, the Ocean, and the Savannah.

Level 25 and Creeper Infiltration to unlock Time Valley.

Level 30, Underworld Crypt, Pit of the Dead, Misadventure at Sea, and Lava Springs to unlock the Almuj Desert and the Mesa.

Level 40, Sand Swept Tomb, A Sandy Scandal, and Canyon Condor to unlock Levigar and Nessak.

Level 50, Clearing the Camps, Blazing Retribution, and An Iron Heart pt 1 to unlock Olux.

Level 50, Ice Barrows, Bob's Lost Soul, and House of Twain to unlock Troms.

Level 60, The Maiden Tower, An Iron Heart pt 2, and RoL 1 to unlock Dark Forest.

Level 60, Undergrowth Ruins, and Jungle Fever to unlock Dernel Jungle.

Level 70, Reclaiming the House, Rol 2 and 3, and From the Mountains to unlock Light Forest and Gylia County.

Level 80, RoL 4, Lexdale Witch Trials, Forbidden Prison, Hunger of the Gerts pt 1 and 2, and Purple and Blue to unlock CotL.

Level 90, General's Orders, The Belly of the Beast, The Canyon Guides (when the AI finally gets fixed), and The Hidden City to unlock Molten Heights.

Level 95 and D&D questline to unlock Sky Islands

Level 100, completion of every single dungeon (except EO of course) ingame, One Thousand Meters Under, Royal Trials, The Hero of Gavel, WynnExcavation questline, and Reincarnation to unlock SE.

    When they come out:

Level 65/70, Galleon's Graveyard, Recover the Past, Beneath the Depths, and Order of the Grook to unlock Fruma.

Level 106, Eldrich Outlook, AJB, AJF, and AHC to unlock Dern.
Also if this were to get into the game and someone hasn't done a quest but is like level 100, the area won't lock.

No way. Much of the enjoyment of wynncraft comes from being able to explore mostly freely throughout the game where the only limitations are usually the terrain and the mobs in those areas (and there are exceptions like Realm of Light and Silent Expanse as well for story/lore reasons). Not to mention that railroading a game like wynncraft which is built on an open world completely defeats the purpose of it being open world.

Much like what TheEpicCajun said, it feels much nicer to have a more open-world feel rather than being imprisoned in one area for 10 levels.

And the tough mobs point can also kind of be refuted with stuff like EO solos, The Eye is very dangerous to fight alone, but you can still do it.

No, bad idea. Making an open world mmorpg linear in its exploration is not a good idea.
Better idea: make quests that require dungeon completions to do.

Never thought of this, but I think it's a great idea, with one exception: I think once you do the quest on one character, the requirement should be lifted for all other characters. This way, new players would have some direction, and experienced players don't have any restrictions.

Im not ok with locking up areas but for new players what could be done is

1: In the quest book add the location of the quest and sort all quests by :(Area; Level; Storyline) in your quest book you will now have displayed all the main areas and their level range (for exemple: Almuj Desert [ level 30 - 40] or Nivla Woods [ level 5 - 15]) and after clicking on them you will have all the quests related to the area from lowest level to biggest level and for the storylines like D&D or Rol It will be displayed only the name of it and when clicking it also open a new page with all the parts in it.

2: When a player enters an area over 10 level from him he gets a warning message telling him something like "Hey Soldier dont go too far, your equipement is still too weak for this area" in this way newcomers get warned and if they still want to explore its at their own risks. (Also the message will be toggable or hidden if the players want to).

Honestly, there should be more like AHC. It's just kinda hard to think of ideas for a quest that would work well after a dungeon.

Now that I've thought about it, maybe this should instead be an option when you create your character. Just like you can choose to be in hunted mode, you can choose to be in a guided mode where this would be in effect, but people that don't want it don't have to use it.

Maybe because it'll stop people essentially cheating the system and exploiting features to level up extremely quickly (see xp food, parties and grinding zones) but at the same time if a quest glitched or you found it too difficult it may be frustrating. There seem to be too far, far many quests here to enter the next area too. So I appreciate the idea but it's a no from me, sorry
