I'm bored so I thought I'd make a feedback thread about raids

I'll list them in the order I played them.

To see which rooms I'm talking about, see the wiki on each raid.

This raid is pretty fun. I'll go over all the rooms first.

1a: This room can be somewhat annoying to do as the platform circles are completely random and if not everyone is paying attention it can take a while.

1b: This room is pretty basic and not too bad, stopping the egg is easy and it doesn't take too long to do.

2: This is the gather room seen in all raids, and makes for a good introduction to the concept. The challenges are relatively simple and progressing takes about 2-3 minutes usually. The ''Parkour 2'' room is a nice introduction to the Undergrowth Ruins parkour for those who haven't done it by that stage yet

3a: This room is kinda annoying because punching the rock solo is hard and if your full party dies it's pretty much over. Not too bad though.

3b: This room is pretty good, 2 people go to each layer and deal with the minibosses to allow the party to progress. Not much needs to be said about this one.

Now that the rooms are done, I'll comment on the buffs.

Spellcaster: I would just like to quickly comment on how nice I think it is that the buffs can be chosen based on your strategy. Anyway, this buff series will give you many bonuses which will help with spell spamming.

Skill Master: If you use Morph Set with this, you can get like 140 in all elements. It's insanely powerful, and the major ID is nice too.

Berserk: I'm assuming from the buffs this one gives that it should be used for DPS. Not much else needs saying on this matter.

Racer: Pretty useless unless your walkspeed is so bad that you can't run away from the boss (which I guess makes sense because it's pretty fast and can combo you easily)

Vampire: If you struggle at surviving in this raid, this buff is pretty good because it gives you various health bonuses that will help you live through the boss.

    Finally, the boss.

This boss is pretty lame to me. I really don't enjoy fighting it because all it is is just:
    Step 1: Kill boss
Step 2: Kill it again. It gets harder every time.
    Step 3: Repeat until done

It's just really boring when the same thing repeats and just gets harder each time. The strategy is just to attack the wyrmlings until you see ''Raid completed'' appear on your screen

There's not much to be said about the rewards, they just give you tier I tomes, some emeralds and stuff.

This raid is also pretty entertaining. (Warning: The wiki has the rooms incorrectly ordered, unless the rooms changed order since I last played this raid)

1a: This room is really really fun, I especially love the coloured tiles. It's the gather room from Nest of the Grootslangs, except with different mechanics.

1b (2 platforms): For some reason, I almost always get this stupid room instead of the fun minigame room. It requires a lot of coordination and can eliminate your raid attempt very fast.

2a: This room can be really annoying if you're playing with people who haven't done the raid before. It takes a lot of coordination, but that's the point of raids.

2b: This room is pretty easy, although the bosses get repetitive. I've never used the wings before, but I get the idea of them.

3a (Lava lake): This room is an easy and fun challenge. I enjoy it.

3b: The golem room was incredibly annoying in the beta since getting it was essentially a game over, but I think it got nerfed since then. I haven't played that room since then though.

    Buffs:

Monk: This buff is based around spells. The buffs are good for the job, and the agility gives you a little survivability.

Stonewalker: Stonewalker is based around DPS. It has some pretty nice buffs to mix into other buffs.

Giant: If you struggle to survive, Giant can be good. The only downside is the Guardian major ID, which makes you take a little extra damage with the plus of keeping your allies alive.

Intrepid: This buff is based around critical hits and survival. If you get all , you'll get lots of dexterity and walk speed as well as immunity to fall damage and Saviour's Sacrifice. All good for anyone who plans to do damage to the boss.

Pestilent: This final buff is based around poison and rapidly damaging your foes. It can probably be deadly when paired with Toxoplasmosis, although the Plague major ID has been known to be more of a debuff than a good thing.

    Boss

This boss is fun, but the one thing I dislike about it is that it's so... linear.
Here's how it will go every successful attempt:

    1: Kill colossal dukes
2: Kill eyes and mouth, activate colossal cores for tankiest teammates
3: Fight the 4 parts of his head
4: Wait for the tanky teammates to solve the puzzle in like 2 seconds
    5: Claim rewards

I like bosses where you can find your own strategies and not just attack as the game intends it. The boss is still fun despite this.

Rewards: Really good, if you want to grind to level 106 then you should definitely get the charm of the Stone. Having tier III tomes is good too.

This is my favourite raid by far. It's such a fun challenge and honestly I'd say that Orphion is harder than the Colossus, despite being targeted at players 20 levels lower. Unfortunately, I think the room selection is bugged because I almost always get the same 3 rooms.

1a: This room is okay, all you have to do is hold the cloud platforms and you'll finish easily

1b: I always get this room for some reason and I hate it. It's so annoying when I stand on the pressure plates and either get pulled off or knocked out of the sky midair. Usually I TP fly instead.

2a: Again, I always get this room. I don't know why. Anyway, the room looks identical to that of 1a and all you have to do is kill the 3 crystalline decays thrice. Somehow, my party members often struggle here.

2b: This is the most fun resource room IMO. It has a miniboss, a harder version of the EO parkour, and an easy puzzle. It also looks great.

3a: This room is pretty easy, all you have to do is guide the darkened player into particle effects. The mobs can be hard though

3b: This room is interesting and fun. It's just a pain when one person falls and the guide has to either go back or the fallen person has to /kill and fly over to the end

    Buffs:

Cherubim: This buff is hard to explain. It gives skill points, thorns, walkspeed etc. It doesn't really have a theme

Seraphim: I do not recommend getting Seraphim I, because that has screwed me over by teleporting me into Orphion's multihit TWICE. Anyway, it's spell-based, so if you want to cast lots of strong spells it's a good option. Just, uh, switch the first one for Ophanim if possible.

Ophanim: This buff is water-based, so if you use the water element primarily then you're set. Ophanim III is really good for survival as it gives +10,000 health, with the slight downside of Guardian.

Throne: Throne is all about sustaining your mana. It will give you plenty of mana-related buffs like mana steal and Transcendence. Don't want to run out of mana when Orphion is chasing you? Go for this!

Anti: This is the usual DPS buff. This time, though, there's nothing for defence. Use this if you want to go all out on Orphion.

    Boss

This is the most fun boss in the game IMO. There's a lot of strategy, cool attacks, and overall it's just a fun time. The only issue I have is that seemingly every time I fight Orphion, the server decides to begin a restart countdown. Anyway, once you defeat Orphion, you have to defeat the Parasite in an easy second phase. After that, the game makes you feel like you've really done something big and have saved the forests of Gavel. Finally, you get to PET ORPHION. Truly, this is the best feature in the game and I thank anyone who worked on this raid for making such a brilliant experience.

Rewards: Not too bad, not too great. I'd like if the tomes were tier III because it's pretty clear to me that there will be another raid in the future between ONOL and NOTG that uses Nii runes. Tier II can go there instead.

Change the Nest of the Grootslangs boss entirely

Make the Nexus of Light tomes tier III

Make it so that crystallization doesn't activate when there's one player left in the Orphion boss fight

    Make the Colossus puzzle harder

Lava lake and platforms for TCC were switched as people complained platforms was too hard for the first challenge and that lava lake was too easy for the 3rd challenge

My idea for that is to have it working pretty much as a Tff puzzle but it uses buttons on the wall and redstone lamps in the shape of arrows.

The only reason why I prefere TCC over NoL is because I hate crystallization, I would say that around 2/3 of my deaths during boss is because no one saved me :pensive:

this and the lava room were swapped. The 2 platform room is a room 3, lava room is a room 1.

For TCC: theCharm of stone provides additional chest and mob loot not xp bonus so it doesn’t help grinding to 106.
Some things I’d mention are the thornslike attacks of the colossus’ ears which needlessly punish fast spells like arrow storm and multi hit without a good reason as well as how spellspam shaman is useless. Pestilent is a useless buff since as soon as more than one player has it, multiplayer poison bites with a vengeance (since poison from multiple players can’t stack) this also nullifies other teammates if they use something like toxo.

For ONL, the boss fight is needlessly chaotic with text flashing everywhere. Buff like OPH III which provide the guardian major ID are mostly useless since the party is usually quite spread out aside from helping a crystallised player. The way the void works is stupid since it can oneshot most builds even with good EHP while just splitting up the arena for... no good reason since the parasite doesn’t move around a lot anyway.

For NOTG: thank god this only requires 3 players now, but it also means low lvl players will find it harder to do this at level (mind you, finding players, especially good ones is a pain even with discord and shout bombs. That goes for all raids). Remember when gavel was being teased and there were rumours of a cool worm boss that jumped out of the ground? Well several years later we have this boss. The grootslang from the quest would have made a much better boss, even if it rips off the eye and TCC a bit. Also, the boss theme restarting as you move arenas is a pet peeve.
