If you have ever played warrior or played with a warrior (or read the wiki), you probably know about a certain spell called warscream. On the outside, warscream is a cool buff, giving you and everyone around you strength and damage resistance for 4 minutes. That’s great, right? But on the inside, warscream is a game-breaking spell that will ruin all your dps for the entire duration and there is no way to stop it.

You see, warscream gives its buffs through potion effects, namely strength and resistance. This is all well and good until you try to attempt to bring your own boosts into the mix. Let’s start with the most extreme example: Vanish.

Vanish is the most effective damage boosting spell in the game, with a whopping 80% damage boost. This high boost is why it is included in all cycles, whether spell or melee. But what happens when you already have that measly buff from warscream, that lasts long but isn’t effective? Of course, you would assume that the higher buff would take precedence, right? WRONG.

This is where the big problem comes in: The longer buff always takes precedence.

Want to vanish for that big damage boost? Too bad, you have been warscreamed.

EDIT: This is debatable and has not been tested. However the below are more likely.

Want to get that nice totem damage boost, whether it’s your totem or someone else’s? Too bad, you have been warscreamed.

Even warrior shoots itself in the foot, as the 50% damage boost that it would normally get from bash gets cancelled by warscream.

The only exception to this is inspire, which takes precedence over warscream.

    AND IT DOESN’T STOP THERE.

Remember that speed 3 that everyone around you gets when you use escape? Well, poor assassins, their speed 5 that they get while vanish is completely overwritten.

So, now that you can see how much of a problem this is causing, think to yourself “What could be done?”

The answer: I have no clue. The way potion effects work in wynncraft is way beyond me, but I know that it would be quite the overhaul to make potion effects stack with each other. Something like how courage works can be possible (maybe), as courage is not potion-dependent. Another way that would be better than nothing is to have stronger potion effects clear less powerful effects.

Never knew this, always warscreamed my assassin friend. Thank you for the lesson in trolling.

As an assasin main, I'm pretty sure vanish overwrites the war scream buff. Speed however, is not overwritten, and yes it can be triggering. I think though, if a warrior war screams right when you leave vanish, it'll overwrite it then.

Hmm not sure if assassin is actually the case based on this. Vanish may work differently, I just assumed it would be overwritten because it overwrites all other damage buffs.
