Rngesus Smited Me (not Clickbait Lol)

Jokes aside I do have a fun story to tell. Im not saying that NoL is unbalanced, I think its welll made, I just wanna know how the game does this.

So today I finally did RoL questline for the 4th time on my archer. I went to do NoL with some friends
Freedom archer
7.4k heal mage
Exploited assassin
Olily archer (me)

our first run thru I got abt 200 points in agility for a thicc 80% dodge rate. So 20% to get hit yes? well we entered the boss room and within like 5 seconds i got instantly oneshot by the boss. I was really dumbfounded but understood that it was just RNG. We all died due to the same reason. We went thru again and this time i had 270 agil points ( +70 all points buff and like 200 points for agily alone)
I figured this time i should be able to survive because 80% dodge and 50% dmg reduction. Didnt, again i was 1 shot. I walked to the right to start Bombing orphion and instantly got honed in on. He charged me and then insta-tapped me and the assassin (we both die at the exact same time lmao) We ended up winning bc freedom archer + super heal mage was a god combo (got my 3rd mythic tome too :DD)

So all i wanna know. Am i doing something wrong or did RNGesus smite me for some sin. Bc like i just wanna survive boss fights ;-;

Also the room broke again and spawned 2 blood ruins each time (lots o bugs)

So yeah tell me if im an idiot or NoL may do a little too much dmg in the boss kek (also side question ,do raids just ignore agil? i have a feeling they do)










Side note: i feel like all i do these days is write Raid reports on how they cripple my brain power. I should stop doing raids

 

from my experiences orphion just has a ton of one-shot attacks which will work on tankier builds aswell. i personally don't know why they exist and why they aren't signaled better, but they exist.

maybe i should start investing in TA def

 

pretty sure that's intentional since they both spawn at the same time and it only happens towards the end of the boss

 

No it was confirmed as a bug by one of the mods (jake i think?) the mod told us when we went thru and saw them right after it released

 

Well, I think it should stay in because it doesn't make the fight too much harder and it makes it seem like the parasite is more desperate

 

yes but it should only happen at the end. Not at the very beginning of the fight
