World Paved Over Nostalgia

When I was lootrunning in Wynn earlier this week, I noticed that the classic Jumble Tower had been sealed up! The Black Bat Cave has also been removed, and I suspect other popular lootchest locations have as well. Plus, Bulbo's hobbit hole is now empty and the Lord of the Clock's quest has been retired!

I somewhat understand the need to rework older lootchest caves, but to life them out of the game entirely seems like a bit much, especially when they have existed for years. I hope that at the very least, these classic caves are added back into the game.

 

bulbo has moved to the shiar in light forest so dont worry about him hes ok

 

I just want Gundalf's hidden library added back in.

 

The real atrocity is the Kander Forest Lab. Why couldn't it just become a secret discovery :(

They did ya dirty... rip.

 

Don't forget the more obscure ones like the sky islands Dogun and the Dwarven Prison in the statue.

 

I read about that, and I think his inclusion in The Clock Mystery secret quest was a fitting move. Even still, it would make sense for Bulbo to move there after the Player completed Lord of The Clocks, a quest that should totally be brought back!


I found another lootchest location that got filled in tonight. There used to be a small little dungeon like cave here with a Tier II chest inside:

I don't mind seeing this chest go as much as Jumble tower, but it was a bit classic since it's been there for years!

I miss the lancaster pirate cave! It was a lootcave almost right under kaoto ranch that's been replaced by a different, less cool loot cave :( was doing my lootrun of costal trail and noticed it had been replaced.

 

They should add back the Larkster Cave on Cathedral Harbor/Pirate Bay. Perfect location for him.

Petition to add back Lord of the Clock. Make it like a prequel to Clock Mystery. That would be really cool.

also PLEASE make travelling at dusk play in the desert again i miss it

 

I think I found a solution:
Make Stirring in the Sands (I think that's the title of the current desert song) play during the day, and make Travelling at Dusk play at night.

 

That quest was gone years ago (4 to be exact).

 

Or each one on a half of the desert.

There's already so many quests in the early game, and I would definitely not want the same quest again because it was just an outdated fetch quest that did not contribute to the lore and was just a cheap reference.

Maybe if they drastically revamped maybe, but it really isn't that compelling either.

 

Cheap reference? It was a tribute to the massive amount of inspiration Wynncraft draws from LOTOR! And if you don't want it to be added early game, the Player could pick it up as a prequest to the Clock Mystery at Level 70.

I learned yesterday that the quest Suspended Flowers has been suspended from the game. :-(

Suspended flowers was a pretty boring quest, I'm glad it was replaced with something that actually contributes to the lore

 

Even still, the Wynncraft content team has a pattern of replacing nostalgic quests, rather than sprucing them up a bit. Which, in my opinion, is the route they should be taking with these nostalgic quests and loot chests!

It's like how Mojang just deleted the classic Zombie Pigmen instead of adding Piglins alongside them.
