    I'm not trying to say that the 1.20 balance patch was a complete disaster, as I explained with Nighthawk, there were many very smart changes that did improve balance. My favorite other examples are sparkling plate, brainwash, and the dhydro necklace compromise that I thought was really well thought out. But it seemed like for every well-made change there was another extremely questionable change that I can't find a reason to justify. It wasn't awful in the end, but that's not to say it was perfect, either...

    Also, I do believe that Necrosis was done a bit dirty (mainly with the req change on top of the -raw, the -raw itself was a great call), but in fairness it wasn't obliterated either.

    i literally said this. aoe abilities are more efficient than single target abilities when used on multiple targets. single target abilities should be better than aoe abilities when used on a single target and aoe abilities should outperform in efficiency when used on multiple. thats just how most games work? i believe you may have misread what i said.
    it has no stamina that you need to worry about but missing an ability hurts dps which in this discussion was your strongest argument and having an ability requires aim is a risk that should have reward.

    bomb arrow is a 0 risk ability and basic arrow storm is a zero risk ability unless you do it point blank which is extremely stupid in 99% of scenarios.
    the probability of connecting 3 streams of arrows on a single target while kiting is low. you never put into the discussion that hitting 3 enemies running at you with three steams is very likely if not guaranteed. even 2 enemies are hit with 100% of the spell a lot of the time. and like i said, it is a LOW RISK ABILITY WHEN USED FROM RANGE and therefore has less reward. nighthawk from range on a moving target misses shots or even misses completely and therefore should have higher dps than the basic version. i don't see how that is hard to picture

    hawkeye is already is and is still is with higher DPS.

    normal storm also requires aiming from afar. and is even likelier to not connect the full damage since its duration is 4 times longer. this makes any slight enemy movement a threat to miss your arrows.

    point blank storm is intended way for a player to pump out more DPS off normal storm

    the slightest of enemy movement would threaten the other arrows to not connect. also you have to be in a perfect triangle formation for a prolonged period of time to actually connect two. three is even more unlikely.
    If you are able to pull this off, you are the best archer player and I do not have rights to say.

    cast another hawkeye storm if you miss, should cost you one mana on a good build.
    also consider aiming better.

    I feel at this point you are just basing this thread more on subjectivity than objectivity, since "it feels bad" and "haven't buff any playstyles that I enjoy" should have triggered a warning, so here I go.

    Balance is objective. Objectivity means straight facts. The item masters don't have to give more reasons on nerfing an item other that "It's OP." That is the sole reason why items get nerfed. What you are saying is that you enjoyed old Nighthawk and when it got nerfed, instead of sucking it up like an adult and adapting, you whine about the nerf hammer being used too much. I think at this point there is no reasoning that can be done with you since we all proved our point pretty well and you just dismissed all of our points by saying that current Nighthawk "doesn't feel good". When you talk about item balance try and leave subjectivity and "feel" behind and look at it in an objective way. How many 1.19 spell archers have you seen without a Nighthawk? If we are going on feelings, I feel Nighthawk was pretty game-breaking because it force most spell archers to use it, which isn't good balance.

    Anyways, I hope nobody really answers and tries to prove any point any further since there has been clearly no progress made. Also, if OP feels attacked by everything I said, this further proves my point that they can't see things in an objective way.

    Well boys, we tried at least and that's what matters.

    In Ice Bear's opinion, Nighthawk was one of the item team's worse blunders. It was pretty much like putting Entropy on a helmet as it allowed you to cast 3 arrow storms in the time it took for 1 regular arrow storm similar to how you can cast 3 entropy meteors in the time it takes you to cast one regular meteor. Oh, and it also is on the highest damaging spell with a class that has one of the highest base damages. If nighthawk isn't unhealthy for the game Ice Bear doesn't know what is. A bit of a tangent but if Ice Bear could change it then Ice Bear would remove deadeye from nighthawk and make it exclusive to the bow Deadeye and Az similar to how Entropy is exclusive to Pure.

    Or possibly have it one a heavy spell bow that increases arrow storm cost by like 2 or 3. Same thing could go for entropy. Or have it or a really low base-damage weapon (I think water works best here but other may work too)
