    Minecraft:
Raid charms, at their current state, will only drop once per unique charm on each class. These charms have IDs that are dependent on rolling and often have quite large ranges. The cost of IDing items, as many of you may know, goes up with each reroll, eventually being too expensive to be worth rerolling or even costing more emeralds to reroll than can be held in an inventory.

The issue is that because these charms can only be dropped once per class, if someone receives a particular charm and has poor rolls, they are stuck with the charm permanently. The only way around this (as far as I know of) is to make a new character and get a new charm. However, since the charm is soulbound, it's stuck with that character forever.

For example, if I had a Charm of the Stone that I planned to use for lootrunning or ingredient farming but it rolled poorly, my only option would to be to make a new character and obtain another charm (and pray for good rolls). Then, I would be forced to use the new character for whatever activity I wished to do with it.

Some may say things along the lines of "it's just a few loot bonus why does it matter so much??". These charms are actually much more than they seem to be. The charm I've shown above says "+30% Loot", which may make you think that loot bonus increases by 30%. However, this is not the case. The stats from charms are actually multiplicative, which means your total loot bonus is multiplied by 1.3x, much more significant than +30% loot bonus is.

Another issue that may occur is that people may accidentally throw their charm away. This is a game and people make mistakes. This could be for various reasons. Sometimes people just don't realize the importance of a charm. Maybe they didn't know that only one charm of each kind could drop on a class. Perhaps they accidentally threw it out and realized later that it was gone. Most things in the game can be reobtained if they're thrown out by accident. What about charms?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are a few potential solutions that I have thought about, but I'm sure there are infinitely many possible ways to go about this.

    - Remove the rolling mechanic from charms altogether. This would make every charm the same and remove the possibilities to get poor rolls to begin with. However, this would fail to solve the problem of when a player accidentally loses their charm.

    - Remove the one drop per class restriction. This would make it so that anyone could get multiple charms and have the opportunity to roll them until they get something that they're content with. However, with this solution, there would have to also be a system in place where only one charm can be used at once. This kind of soft-locking mechanic has already been used before and can be seen when a player uses 2 Hive Items from the same division at once.

I totaly support this Idea, charms feels stupidly rare for me, and when i finaly get one, its "oh wow extra 30% xp from 60-80 content for my lvl 104 class, amazing"

It isn't 1 drop per class just so you know, just super likely for the first one, then more unlikely

apparently that's not the case :(((

i suppose it still counts as "more unlikely" if something does go wrong and you get another one, but i think that this can pretty much be considered as 1 drop per class

Yes, I agree, charms are a pile of junk, unuseable on 99,8% of the chases. Makes it even worse: u can't sell it.

They used to stack, I believe it was fixed in 1.20 hotfix 1 or 2 though. So there already is a system that prevents you from having the effects of more than one.
edit, found it in the hotfix 3 notes
